1 The certainty of the desolation. 11 The restoring of the Tabernacle of David.
9:1
I saw 7200 the Lord 136 standing 5324 beside 5921 the altar 4196, and He said 559, “Smite 5221 the capitals 3730 so that the thresholds 5592b will shake 7493, And break 1214 them on the heads 7218 of them all 3605! Then I will slay 2026 the rest 319 of them with the sword 2719; They will not have a fugitive 5127 who will flee 5127, Or a refugee 6412a who will escape 4422.
9:2
“Though 518 they dig 2864 into Sheol 7585, From there 8033 will My hand 3027 take 3947 them; And though 518 they ascend 5927 to heaven 8064, From there 8033 will I bring 3381 them down 3381.
9:3
“Though 518 they hide 2244 on the summit 7218 of Carmel 3760, I will search 2664 them out and take 3947 them from there 8033; And though 518 they conceal 5641 themselves from My sight 5869 on the floor 7172 of the sea 3220, From there 8033 I will command 6680 the serpent 5175 and it will bite 5391a them.
9:4
“And though 518 they go 1980 into captivity 7628b before 6440 their enemies 340, From there 8033 I will command 6680 the sword 2719 that it slay 2026 them, And I will set 7760 My eyes 5869 against 5921 them for evil 7463a and not for good 2899b.”
9:5
¶ The Lord 136 GOD 3068 of hosts 6635, The One who touches 5060 the land 776 so that it melts 4127, And all 3605 those who dwell 3427 in it mourn 56, And all 3605 of it rises 5927 up like the Nile 2975 And subsides 8257 like the Nile 2975 of Egypt 4714;
9:6
The One who builds 1129 His upper 4609b chambers 4609b in the heavens 8064 And has founded 3245 His vaulted 92 dome 92 over 5921 the earth 776, He who calls 7121 for the waters 4325 of the sea 3220 And pours 8210 them out on the face 6440 of the earth 776, The LORD 3068 is His name 8034.
9:7
¶ “Are you not as the sons 1121 of Ethiopia 3569 to Me, O sons 1121 of Israel 3478?” declares 5002 the LORD 3068. “Have I not brought 5927 up Israel 3478 from the land 776 of Egypt 4714, And the Philistines 6430 from Caphtor 3731 and the Arameans 758 from Kir 7024b?
9:8
“Behold 2009, the eyes 5869 of the Lord 136 GOD 3068 are on the sinful 2400 kingdom 4467, And I will destroy 8045 it from the face 6440 of the earth 127; Nevertheless 657 3588, I will not totally 8045 destroy 8045 the house 1004 of Jacob 3290,” Declares 5002 the LORD 3068.
9:9
“For behold 2009, I am commanding 6680, And I will shake 5128 the house 1004 of Israel 3478 among all 3605 nations 1471 As [grain] is shaken 5128 in a sieve 3531, But not a kernel 6872b will fall 5307 to the ground 776.
9:10
“All 3605 the sinners 2400 of My people 5971a will die 4191 by the sword 2719, Those who say 559, ‘The calamity 7463a will not overtake 5066 or confront 6923 us.’
9:11
¶ “In that day 3117 I will raise 6965 up the fallen 5307 booth 5521 of David 1732, And wall 1443 up its breaches 6556; I will also raise 6965 up its ruins 2034b And rebuild 1129 it as in the days 3117 of old 5769;
9:12
That they may possess 3423 the remnant 7611 of Edom 112b And all 3605 the nations 1471 who 834 are called 7121 by My name 8034,” Declares 5002 the LORD 3068 who does 6213a this 2088.
9:13
¶ “Behold 2009, days 3117 are coming 935,” declares 5002 the LORD 3068, “When the plowman 2790a will overtake 5066 the reaper 7114b And the treader 1869 of grapes 6025 him who sows 4900 seed 2233; When the mountains 2022 will drip 5197 sweet 6071 wine 6071 And all 3605 the hills 1389 will be dissolved 4127.
9:14
“Also I will restore 7725 the captivity 7622 of My people 5971a Israel 3478, And they will rebuild 1129 the ruined 8074 cities 5892b and live 3427 [in them]; They will also plant 5193 vineyards 3754 and drink 8354 their wine 3196, And make 6213a gardens 1593 and eat 398 their fruit 6529.
9:15
“I will also plant 5193 them on their land 127, And they will not again 5750 be rooted 5428 out from their land 127 Which 834 I have given 5414 them,” Says 559 the LORD 3068 your God 430.
