Amos 7
1 The judgments of the grasshoppers, 4 and of the fire, are diverted by the prayer of Amos. 7 By the wall of a plumbline is signified the rejection of Israel. 10 Amaziah complaineth of Amos. 14 Amos sheweth his calling, 16 and Amaziah's judgment.
7:1
Thus 3541 the Lord 136 GOD 3068 showed 7200 me, and behold 2009, He was forming 3335 a locust-swarm 1373b when the spring 3954 crop 3954 began 8462 to sprout 5927. And behold 2009, the spring 3954 crop 3954 [was] after 310 the king’s 4428 mowing 1488.

And it came 1961 about, when 518 it had finished 3615 eating 398 the vegetation 6212a of the land 776, that I said 559, “Lord 136 GOD 3068, please 4994 pardon 5545! How 4310 can Jacob 3290 stand 6965, For he is small 6996b?”

The LORD 3068 changed 5162 His mind 5162 about 5921 this 2088. “It shall not be,” said 559 the LORD 3068.
7:4
¶ Thus 3541 the Lord 136 GOD 3068 showed 7200 me, and behold 2009, the Lord 136 GOD 3068 was calling 7121 to contend 7378 [with them] by fire 784, and it consumed 398 the great 7227a deep 8415 and began to consume 398 the farm 2506 land 2506.

Then I said 559, “Lord 136 GOD 3068, please 4994 stop 2308! How 4310 can Jacob 3290 stand 6965, for he is small 6996b?”

The LORD 3068 changed 5162 His mind 5162 about 5921 this 2088. “This 1931 too 1571 shall not be,” said 559 the Lord 136 GOD 3068.
7:7
¶ Thus 3541 He showed 7200 me, and behold 2009, the Lord 136 was standing 5324 by a vertical 594 wall 2346 with a plumb 594 line 594 in His hand 3027.
7:8
The LORD 3068 said 559 to me, “What 4100 do you see 7200, Amos 5986?” And I said 559, “A plumb 594 line 594.” Then the Lord 136 said 559, “Behold 2009 I am about to put 7760 a plumb 594 line 594 In the midst 7130 of My people 5971a Israel 3478. I will spare 5674a them no 3808 longer 3254 5750.
7:9
“The high 1116 places 1116 of Isaac 3327 will be desolated 8074 And the sanctuaries 4720 of Israel 3478 laid 2717b waste 2717b. Then I will rise 6965 up against 5921 the house 1004 of Jeroboam 3379 with the sword 2719.”
7:10
¶ Then Amaziah 558, the priest 3548 of Bethel 1008, sent 7971 [word] to Jeroboam 3379 king 4428 of Israel 3478, saying 559, “Amos 5986 has conspired 7194 against 5921 you in the midst 7130 of the house 1004 of Israel 3478; the land 776 is unable 3808 3201 to endure 3557 all 3605 his words 1697.

“For thus 3541 Amos 5986 says 559, ‘Jeroboam 3379 will die 4191 by the sword 2719 and Israel 3478 will certainly 1540 go 1540 from its land 127 into exile 1540.’”
7:12
Then Amaziah 558 said 559 to Amos 5986, “Go 1980, you seer 2374, flee 1272 away to the land 776 of Judah 3063 and there 8033 eat 398 bread 3899 and there 8033 do your prophesying 5012!
7:13
“But no 3808 longer 3254 5750 prophesy 5012 at Bethel 1008, for it is a sanctuary 4720 of the king 4428 and a royal 4467 residence 1004.”
7:14
¶ Then Amos 5986 replied 6030a to Amaziah 558, “I am not a prophet 5030, nor 3808 am I the son 1121 of a prophet 5030; for I am a herdsman 951 and a grower 1103 of sycamore 8256 figs 1103.

“But the LORD 3068 took 3947 me from following 310 the flock 6629 and the LORD 3068 said 559 to me, ‘Go 1980 prophesy 5012 to My people 5971a Israel 3478.’
7:16
“Now 6258 hear 8085 the word 1697 of the LORD 3068: you are saying 559, ‘You shall not prophesy 5012 against 5921 Israel 3478 nor 3808 shall you speak 5197 against 5921 the house 1004 of Isaac 3327.’
7:17
“Therefore 3651, thus 3541 says 559 the LORD 3068, ‘Your wife 802 will become 2181 a harlot 2181 in the city 5892b, your sons 1121 and your daughters 1323 will fall 5307 by the sword 2719, your land 127 will be parceled 2505a up by a [measuring] line 2256a and you yourself 859 will die 4191 upon unclean 2931 soil 127. Moreover, Israel 3478 will certainly 1540 go 1540 from its land 127 into exile 1540.’”
