Amos 4

1 He reproveth Israel for oppression, 4 for idolatry, 6 and for their incorrigibleness.

 4:2 The Lord 136 GOD 3068 has sworn 7650 by His holiness 6944, “Behold 2009, the days 3117 are coming 935 upon you When they will take 5375 you away with meat 6793a hooks 6793a, And the last 319 of you with fish 1729 hooks 5518b.

 4:3 “You will go 3318 out [through] breaches 6556 [in the walls], Each 802 one 802 straight 5048 before 5048 her, And you will be cast 7993 to Harmon 2038,” declares 5002 the LORD 3068.

 4:4 ¶ “Enter 935 Bethel 1008 and transgress 6586; In Gilgal 1537 multiply 7235a transgression 6586! Bring 935 your sacrifices 2077 every morning 1242, Your tithes 4643 every three 7969 days 3117.

 4:5 “Offer 6999 a thank 8426 offering 8426 also from that which 2557 is leavened 2557, And proclaim 7121 freewill 5071 offerings 5071, make 8085 them known 8085. For so 3651 you love 157 [to do], you sons 1121 of Israel 3478,” Declares 5002 the Lord 136 GOD 3068.

 4:6 ¶ “But I gave 5414 you also 1571 cleanness 5356 of teeth 8127 in all 3605 your cities 5892b And lack 2640 of bread 3899 in all 3605 your places 4725, Yet you have not returned 7725 to Me,” declares 5002 the LORD 3068.

 4:7 “Furthermore 1571, I withheld 4513 the rain 1653 from you While [there were] still 5750 three 7969 months 2320 until harvest 7105a. Then I would send 4305 rain 4305 on one 259 city 5892b And on another 259 city 5892b I would not send 4305 rain 4305; One 259 part 2513a would be rained 4305 on, While the part 2513a not rained 4305 on would dry 3001 up.

 4:8 “So two 8147 or three 7969 cities 5892b would stagger 5128 to another 259 city 5892b to drink 8354 water 4325, But would not be satisfied 7646; Yet you have not returned 7725 to Me,” declares 5002 the LORD 3068.

 4:9 “I smote 5221 you with scorching 7711b [wind] and mildew 3420; And the caterpillar 1501 was devouring 398 Your many 7235a gardens 1593 and vineyards 3754, fig 8384 trees 8384 and olive 2132 trees 2132; Yet you have not returned 7725 to Me,” declares 5002 the LORD 3068.

 4:10 “I sent 7971 a plague 1698 among you after the manner 1870 of Egypt 4714; I slew 2026 your young 970 men 970 by the sword 2719 along 5973 with your captured 7628b horses 5483b, And I made the stench 889 of your camp 4264 rise 5927 up in your nostrils 639; Yet you have not returned 7725 to Me,” declares 5002 the LORD 3068.

 4:11 “I overthrew 2015 you, as God 430 overthrew 4114 Sodom 5467 and Gomorrah 6017, And you were like a firebrand 181 snatched 5337 from a blaze 8316; Yet you have not returned 7725 to Me,” declares 5002 the LORD 3068.

 4:12 “Therefore 3651 thus 3541 I will do 6213a to you, O Israel 3478; Because 6118 3588 I will do 6213a this 2088 to you, Prepare 3559 to meet 7122 your God 430, O Israel 3478.”

 4:13 For behold 2009, He who forms 3335 mountains 2022 and creates 1254a the wind 7307 And declares 5046 to man 120 what 4100 are His thoughts 7808, He who makes 6213a dawn 7837 into darkness 5890 And treads 1869 on the high 1116 places 1116 of the earth 776, The LORD 3068 God 430 of hosts 6635 is His name 8034.
