2 Corinthians 3

1 Lest their false teachers should charge him with vain glory, he sheweth the faith and graces of the Corinthians to be a sufficient commendation of his ministry. 6 Whereupon entering a comparison between the ministers of the Law and of the Gospel, 12 he proveth that his ministry is so far the more excellent, as the gospel of life and liberty is more glorious than the law of condemnation.

 3:1 Are we beginning 757 to commend 4921 ourselves 1438 again 3825? Or 2228 do we need 5535, as some 5100, letters 1992 of commendation 4956 to you or 2228 from you?

 3:2 You are our letter 1992, written 1449 in our hearts 2588, known 1097 and read 314 by all 3956 men 444;

 3:3 being manifested 5319 that you are a letter 1992 of Christ 5547, cared 1247 for by us, written 1449 not with ink 3189 but with the Spirit 4151 of the living 2198 God 2316, not on tablets 4109 of stone 3035 but on tablets 4109 of human 4560 hearts 2588.

 3:4 ¶ Such 5108 confidence 4006 we have 2192 through 1223 Christ 5547 toward 4314 God 2316.

 3:5 Not that we are adequate 2425 in ourselves 1438 to consider 3049 anything 5100 as [coming] from ourselves 1438, but our adequacy 2426 is from God 2316,

 3:6 who 3739 also 2532 made 2427 us adequate 2427 [as] servants 1249 of a new 2537 covenant 1242, not of the letter 1121 but of the Spirit 4151; for the letter 1121 kills 615, but the Spirit 4151 gives 2227 life 2227.

 3:7 ¶ But if 1487 the ministry 1248 of death 2288, in letters 1121 engraved 1795 on stones 3037, came 1096 with glory 1391, so 5620 that the sons 5207 of Israel 2474 could 1410 not look 816 intently 816 at the face 4383 of Moses 3475 because 1223 of the glory 1391 of his face 4383, fading 2673 [as] it was,

 3:8 how 4459 will the ministry 1248 of the Spirit 4151 fail 3780 to be even more 3123 with glory 1391?

 3:9 For if 1487 the ministry 1248 of condemnation 2633 has glory 1391, much 4183 more 3123 does the ministry 1248 of righteousness 1343 abound 4052 in glory 1391.

 3:10 For indeed 2532 what had 1392 glory 1392, in this 3778 case 3313 has 1392 no 3756 glory 1392 because 1752a of the glory 1391 that surpasses 5235 [it].

 3:11 For if 1487 that which fades 2673 away 2673 [was] with glory 1391, much 4183 more 3123 that which remains 3306 [is] in glory 1391.

 3:12 ¶ Therefore 3767 having 2192 such 5108 a hope 1680, we use 5530 great 4183 boldness 3954 in [our] speech 3954,

 3:13 and [are] not like 2509 Moses 3475, [who] used to put 5087 a veil 2571 over 1909 his face 4383 so 4314 that the sons 5207 of Israel 2474 would not look 816 intently 816 at the end 5056 of what was fading 2673 away 2673.

 3:14 But their minds 3540 were hardened 4456; for until 891 this 4594 very 4594 day 2250 at the reading 320 of the old 3820 covenant 1242 the same 846 veil 2571 remains 3306 unlifted 343, because 3754 it is removed 2673 in Christ 5547.

 3:15 But to this 4594 day 4594 whenever 2259 302 Moses 3475 is read 314, a veil 2571 lies 2749 over 1909 their heart 2588;

 3:16 but whenever 2259 1437 a person turns 1994 to the Lord 2962, the veil 2571 is taken 4014 away 4014.

 3:17 Now 1161 the Lord 2962 is the Spirit 4151, and where 3757 the Spirit 4151 of the Lord 2962 is, [there] is liberty 1657.

 3:18 But we all 3956, with unveiled 343 face 4383, beholding 2734 as in a mirror 2734 the glory 1391 of the Lord 2962, are being transformed 3339 into the same 846 image 1504 from glory 1391 to glory 1391, just 2509 as from the Lord 2962, the Spirit 4151.
