2 Corinthians 11

1 Out of his jealousy over the Corinthians, who seemed to make more account of the false apostles than of him, he entereth into a forced commendation of himself, 5 of his equality with the chief Apostles, 7 of his preaching the Gospel to them freely, and without any their charge, 13 shewing that he was not inferior to those deceitful workers in any legal prerogative, 23 and in the service of Christ, and in all kind of sufferings for his ministry, far superior.

 11:1 I wish 3785 that you would bear 430 with me in a little 3398 foolishness 877; but indeed 2532 you are bearing 430 with me.

 11:2 For I am 2206 jealous 2206 for you with a godly 2316 jealousy 2205b; for I betrothed 718 you to one 1520 husband 435, so that to Christ 5547 I might present 3936 you [as] a pure 53 virgin 3933.

 11:3 But I am 5399 afraid 5399 that, as the serpent 3789 deceived 1818 Eve 2096 by his craftiness 3834, your minds 3540 will be led 5351 astray 5351 from the simplicity 572 and purity 54 [of devotion] to Christ 5547.

 11:4 For if 1487 one comes 2064 and preaches 2784 another 243 Jesus 2424 whom 3739 we have not preached 2784, or 2228 you receive 2983 a different 2087 spirit 4151 which 3739 you have not received 2983, or 2228 a different 2087 gospel 2098 which 3739 you have not accepted 1209, you bear 430 [this] beautifully 2573.

 11:5 For I consider 3049 myself not in the least 3367 inferior 5302 to the most 5244b eminent 5244b apostles 652.

 11:6 But even 2532 if 1487 I am unskilled 2399 in speech 3056, yet 235 I am not [so] in knowledge 1108; in fact 235, in every 3956 way 3956 we have made 5319 [this] evident 5319 to you in all 3956 things 3956.

 11:7 ¶ Or 2228 did I commit 4160 a sin 266 in humbling 5013 myself 1683 so 2443 that you might be exalted 5312, because 3754 I preached 2097 the gospel 2098 of God 2316 to you without 1431 charge 1431?

 11:8 I robbed 4813 other 243 churches 1577 by taking 2983 wages 3800 [from them] to serve 1248 you;

 11:9 and when I was present 3918b with you and was in need 5302, I was not a burden 2655 to anyone 3762; for when the brethren 80 came 2064 from Macedonia 3109 they fully 4322 supplied 4322 my need 5303, and in everything 3956 I kept 5083 myself 1683 from being 4 a burden 4 to you, and will continue 5083 to do so.

 11:10 As the truth 225 of Christ 5547 is in me, this 3778 boasting 2746a of mine 1519 1473 will not be stopped 5420 in the regions 2824 of Achaia 882.

 11:11 Why 1223 5101? Because 3754 I do not love 25 you? God 2316 knows 3609a [I do]!

 11:12 ¶ But what 3739 I am doing 4160 I will continue 2532 to do 4160, so 2443 that I may cut 1581 off 1581 opportunity 874 from those 3588 who desire 2309 an opportunity 874 to be regarded 2147 just 2531a as we are in the matter about which 3739 they are boasting 2744.

 11:13 For such 5108 men 5108 are false 5570 apostles 5570, deceitful 1386 workers 2040, disguising 3345 themselves as apostles 652 of Christ 5547.

 11:14 No 3756 wonder 2295, for even 846 Satan 4567 disguises 3345 himself as an angel 32a of light 5457.

 11:15 Therefore 3767 it is not surprising 3173 if 1487 his servants 1249 also 2532 disguise 3345 themselves as servants 1249 of righteousness 1343, whose 3739 end 5056 will be according 2596 to their deeds 2041.

 11:16 ¶ Again 3825 I say 3004, let no 3361 one 5100 think 1380 me foolish 878; but if 1487 [you do], receive 1209 me even 2579 as foolish 878, so 2443 that I also 2532 may boast 2744 a little 3398.

 11:17 What 3739 I am saying 2980, I am not saying 2980 as the Lord 2962 would, but as in foolishness 877, in this 3778 confidence 5287 of boasting 2746a.

 11:18 Since 1893 many 4183 boast 2744 according 2596 to the flesh 4561, I will boast 2744 also 2532.

 11:19 For you, being 1510 [so] wise 5429, tolerate 430 the foolish 878 gladly 2234.

 11:20 For you tolerate 430 it if 1487 anyone 5100 enslaves 2615 you, anyone 5100 devours 2719 you, anyone 5100 takes 2983 advantage of you, anyone 5100 exalts 1869 himself, anyone 5100 hits 1194 you in the face 4383.

 11:21 To [my] shame 819 I [must] say 3004 that we have been weak 770 [by comparison]. ¶ But in whatever 3739 302 respect anyone 5100 [else] is bold 5111—I speak 3004 in foolishness 877—I am 5111 just 2532 as bold 5111 myself 1473.

 11:22 Are they Hebrews 1445? So 2532 am I. Are they Israelites 2475a? So 2532 am I. Are they descendants 4690 of Abraham 11? So 2532 am I.

 11:23 Are they servants 1249 of Christ 5547?—I speak 2980 as if insane 3912—I more 5228 so 5228; in far 4057 more 4057 labors 2873, in far 4057 more 4057 imprisonments 5438, beaten 4127 times 5234 without 5234 number 5234, often 4178 in danger 2288 of death 2288.

 11:24 Five 3999 times 3999 I received 2983 from the Jews 2453 thirty-nine 5065b 3844 1520 [lashes].

 11:25 Three 5151 times 5151 I was beaten 4463 with rods 4463, once 530 I was stoned 3034, three 5151 times 5151 I was shipwrecked 3489, a night 3574 and a day 3574 I have spent 4160 in the deep 1037.

 11:26 [I have been] on frequent 4178 journeys 3597, in dangers 2794 from rivers 4215, dangers 2794 from robbers 3027, dangers 2794 from [my] countrymen 1085, dangers 2794 from the Gentiles 1484, dangers 2794 in the city 4172, dangers 2794 in the wilderness 2047, dangers 2794 on the sea 2281, dangers 2794 among 1722 false 5569 brethren 5569;

 11:27 [I have been] in labor 2873 and hardship 3449, through 1722 many 4178 sleepless 70 nights 70, in hunger 3042 and thirst 1373, often 4178 without 3521 food 3521, in cold 5592 and exposure 1132.

 11:29 Who 5101 is weak 770 without 2532 3756 my being weak 770? Who 5101 is led 4624 into sin 4624 without 2532 3756 my intense 4448 concern 4448?

 11:30 ¶ If 1487 I have 1163 to boast 2744, I will boast 2744 of what 769 pertains to my weakness 769.

 11:31 The God 2316 and Father 3962 of the Lord 2962 Jesus 2424, He who is blessed 2128 forever 165, knows 3609a that I am not lying 5574.

 11:32 In Damascus 1154 the ethnarch 1481 under Aretas 702 the king 935 was guarding 5432 the city 4172 of the Damascenes 1153 in order to seize 4084 me,

 11:33 and I was let 5465 down 5465 in a basket 4553 through 1223 a window 2376 in the wall 5038, and [so] escaped 1628 his hands 5495.
