The priests°
the
Læwiyyim
לְוִיִּם,°
[and] all°
the tribe°
of
Lëwî
לֵוִי,°
shall have°
no°
part°
nor inheritance°
with°
Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל:°
they shall eat°°
the offerings°°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
made by fire,°°
and his inheritance.° |

18:1 ¶
The priests the Lewiyyim, [and] all the tribe of Lewi, shall have no part nor inheritance with Yisrael: they shall eat the offerings of Yahweh made by fire, and his inheritance. |
|
18:2
Therefore shall they have°
no°
inheritance°
among°
their brethren:°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
[is] their inheritance,°
as°
he hath said°°
unto them. |
|
18:2
Therefore shall they have no inheritance among their brethren: Yahweh [is] their inheritance, as he hath said unto them. |
|
18:3 ¶
And this°
shall be°
the priest's°
due°
from°°
the people,°
from°°
them that offer°°
a sacrifice,°
whether°
[it be] ox°
or°
sheep;°
and they shall give°°
unto the priest°
the shoulder,°
and the two cheeks,°
and the maw.° |

And this shall be the priest's due from the people, from them that offer a sacrifice, whether [it be] ox or sheep; and they shall give unto the priest the shoulder, and the two cheeks, and the maw. |

The firstfruit°
[also] of thy corn,°
of thy wine,°
and of thine oil,°
and the first°
of the fleece°
of thy sheep,°
shalt thou give°°
him. |

אֱלֹהִים°
hath chosen°°

thy tribes,°
to stand°°
to minister°°
in the name°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,°
him°
and his sons°
for ever.°° |

18:5
For Yahweh thy Elohim hath chosen him out of all thy tribes, to stand to minister in the name of Yahweh, him and his sons for ever. |

18:6 ¶
And if°
a
Lëwî
לֵוִי°
come°°
from any°°
of thy gates°
out of all°°
Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל,°
where°°
he°
sojourned,°°
and come°°
with all°
the desire°
of his mind°
unto°
the place°
which°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
shall choose;°° |

18:6 ¶
And if a Lewi come from any of thy gates out of all Yisrael, where he sojourned, and come with all the desire of his mind unto the place which Yahweh shall choose; |

18:7
Then he shall minister°°
in the name°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
his
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים,°
as all°
his brethren°
the
Læwiyyim
לְוִיִּם°
[do], which stand°°
there°
before°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה.° |

18:7
Then he shall minister in the name of Yahweh his Elohim, as all his brethren the Lewiyyim [do], which stand there before Yahweh. |
|
18:8
They shall have like portions°
to eat,°°
beside°
that which cometh of the sale°°
of°
his patrimony.° |
|

They shall have like portions to eat, beside that which cometh of the sale of his patrimony. |
|
18:9 ¶
When°
thou°
art come°°
into°
the land°
which°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
thy
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים°
giveth°°
thee, thou shalt not°
learn°°
to do°°
after the abominations°
of those°
nations.° |
|
18:9 ¶
When thou art come into the land which Yahweh thy Elohim giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations. |
|
18:10
There shall not°
be found°°
among you [any one] that maketh his son°
or his daughter°
to pass°°
through°
the fire,°
[or] that useth°°
divination,°
[or] an observer of times,°°
or an enchanter,°°
or a witch,°° |

There shall not be found among you [any one] that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, [or] that useth divination, [or] an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, |

18:11
Or a charmer,°°°
or a consulter°°
with familiar spirits,°
or a wizard,°
or a necromancer.°°°°° |

[are] an abomination°
unto
Yähwè
יָהוֶה:°
and because°
of these°
abominations°

´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים°
doth drive them out°°°
from before°°
thee. |

18:12
For all that do these things [are] an abomination unto Yahweh: and because of these abominations Yahweh thy Elohim doth drive them out from before thee. |
|
18:13
Thou shalt be°
perfect°
with°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
thy
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים.° |
|
18:13
Thou shalt be perfect with Yahweh thy Elohim. |
|
18:14
For°
these°
nations,°
which°
thou°
shalt possess,°°°
hearkened°°
unto°
observers of times,°°
and unto°
diviners:°°
but as for thee,°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
thy
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים°
hath not°
suffered°°
thee so°
[to do]. |

For these nations, which thou shalt possess, hearkened unto observers of times, and unto diviners: but as for thee, Yahweh thy Elohim hath not suffered thee so [to do]. |
|
18:15 ¶
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
thy
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים°
will raise up°°
unto thee a Prophet°
from the midst°°
of thee, of thy brethren,°°
like unto me;°
unto°
him ye shall hearken;°° |
|
18:15 ¶
Yahweh thy Elohim will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken; |

18:16
According to all°
that°
thou desiredst°°
of°°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
thy
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים°
in
Çörëv
חֹרֵב°
in the day°
of the assembly,°
saying,°°
Let me not°
hear°°
again°°°
the voice°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
my
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים,°
neither°
let me see°°
this°
great°
fire°
any more,°
that I die°°
not.° |

According to all that thou desiredst of Yahweh thy Elohim in Chorev in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of Yahweh my Elohim, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not. |

18:17
And

me, They have well°°
[spoken that] which°
they have spoken.°° |

And Yahweh said unto me, They have well [spoken that] which they have spoken. |

18:18
I will raise them up°°
a Prophet°
from among°°
their brethren,°
like unto thee,°
and will put°°
my words°
in his mouth;°
and he shall speak°°
unto°
them°
all°
that°
I shall command°°
him. |

I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. |
|
18:19
And it shall come to pass,°
[that] whosoever°°
will not°
hearken°°
unto°
my words°
which°
he shall speak°°
in my name,°
I°
will require°°
[it] of°°
him. |

18:19
And it shall come to pass, [that] whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require [it] of him. |

18:20
But°
the prophet,°
which°
shall presume°°
to speak°°
a word°
in my name,°°
which°
I have not°
commanded°°
him to speak,°°
or that°
shall speak°°
in the name°
of other°
´élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים,°
even that°
prophet°
shall die.°° |

But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other elohim, even that prophet shall die. |

18:21
And if°
thou say°°
in thine heart,°
How°
shall we know°°°
the word°
which°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
hath not°
spoken?°° |

And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which Yahweh hath not spoken? |

18:22
When°
a prophet°
speaketh°°
in the name°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,°
if the thing°
follow°
not,°
nor°
come to pass,°°
that°
[is] the thing°
which°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
hath not°
spoken,°°
[but] the prophet°
hath spoken°°
it presumptuously:°
thou shalt not°
be afraid°°
of°
him. |

18:22
When a prophet speaketh in the name of Yahweh, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that [is] the thing which Yahweh hath not spoken, [but] the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him. |
