1:1 ¶
PAULOS, an apostle, not from men, nor by men, but by Jeshu the Meshiha, and Aloha his Father, who raised him from among the dead, |
|
1:1
PAUL, a legate, not from men, nor by man, but by Jesus the Messiah, and God his Father, who raised him from the dead; |
1:2
and all the brethren who are with me, to the churches which are in Galatia: |
|
1:2
and all the brethren who are with me; unto the churches which are in Galatia. |
1:3
Grace be with you and peace, from Aloha the Father, and from our Lord Jeshu Meshiha, |
|
1:3
Grace be with you, and peace, from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus the Messiah; |
1:4
who gave himself for our sins to deliver us from this evil world, according to the will of Aloha our Father: |
|
1:4
who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this evil world, agreeably to the pleasure of God our Father: |
1:5
to whom be glory to the age of ages. Amen. |
|
1:5
to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. |
1:6
I am amazed how soon you have been turned from the Meshiha himself, who called you by his grace, unto another gospel, |
|
1:6
I admire, how soon ye have turned from the Messiah, who called you by his grace, unto another gospel; |
1:7
which it is not; but there are men who disturb you, and (who) wish to remove you from the gospel of the Meshiha. |
|
1:7
which doth not exist, except as there are some who would disquiet you, and are disposed to pervert the gospel of the Messiah. |
1:8
But if we also, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you other than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. |
|
1:8
But if we, or an angel from heaven, should announce to you differently from what we have announced to you, let him be accursed. |
1:9
As I have said before, and now again say to you, If any man preach to you other than what you have received, let him be accursed. |
|
1:9
As I have just said, and now I again say it, that if any one announce to you differently from what ye received, let him be accursed. |
1:10
For now do I persuade men, or Aloha? or do I seek to please men? For if until now I had pleased men, I should not have been the servant of the Meshiha. |
|
1:10
For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I had till now pleased men, I should not have been a servant of the Messiah. |
1:11 ¶
BUT I make known to you, my brethren, that the gospel which is preached by me was not from man: |
|
1:11
But I make known to you, my brethren, that the gospel announced by me, was not from man. |
1:12
for neither from man had I received it and taught it, but by the revelation of Jeshu the Meshiha. |
|
1:12
For I did not receive it and learn it from man, but [I had it] by revelation from Jesus the Messiah. |
1:13
For you have heard of my former manners in Judaism, that I exceedingly persecuted the church of Aloha, and made it desolate. |
|
1:13
For ye have heard of my former course of life in Judaism, that I persecuted the church of God exceedingly, and destroyed it: |
1:14
And I excelled in Judaism more than many of the sons of my years who were of my kindred, and was exceedingly zealous for the doctrine of my fathers. |
|
1:14
and that I went much farther in Judaism than many of my contemporaries who were of my nation, and was peculiarly zealous for the doctrine of my fathers. |
1:15
But, when He willed who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace, |
|
1:15
But when it pleased him, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace, |
1:16
to reveal his Son in me, that I should preach among the nations, immediately I did not disclose to flesh and to blood; |
|
1:16
to reveal his Son by me, that I should proclaim him among the Gentiles; forthwith, I did not open it to flesh and blood; |
1:17
neither went I to Urishlem, to the apostles who were before me, but I went into Arabia, and again returned unto Darmsuk. |
|
1:17
nor did I go to Jerusalem, to them who were legates before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again to Damascus: |
1:18
And after three years I went unto Urishlem, that I might see Kipha, and I remained with him days fifteen. |
|
1:18
and after three years, I went to Jerusalem to see Cephas; and I remained with him fifteen days. |
1:19
But others of the apostles I saw not, only Jakub, the brother of our Lord. |
|
1:19
But others of the legates I saw not, except James, our Lord's brother. |
1:20
But these which I write to you, behold, before Aloha, [I aver] that I lie not. |
|
1:20
In the things which I am writing to you, behold, before God! I lie not. |
1:21
And after these I went to the regions of Syria and of Cilicia. |
|
1:21
And after that, I went to the regions of Syria and Cilicia. |
1:22
Neither did the churches of Jihud which are in the Meshiha know me by face. |
|
1:22
And the churches in Judaea which were in the Messiah; did not know me personally: |
1:23
But this only they had heard, that he who had formerly persecuted us, behold, now preacheth he that faith which he beforetime had overthrown. |
|
1:23
but this only had they heard, that he who before persecuted us, now preacheth that faith which in time preceding he subverted: |
1:24
And in me they glorified Aloha. |
|
1:24
and they glorified God in me. |
