 3:1 O deficient-minded Galatoyee, who bewildereth you? For, behold, as if depicted before your eyes, hath Jeshu the Meshiha been crucified.

 3:1 O ye Galatians, deficient in understanding! Who hath fascinated you? For lo, Jesus the Messiah hath been portrayed as in a picture, crucified before your eyes.

 3:2 This only would I know from you: Through the works of the law received you the Spirit, or through the hearing of faith?

 3:2 This only would I learn from you, Was it by works of the law, that ye received the Spirit? or by the hearing of faith?

 3:3 Are you so foolish that having begun in the Spirit you are now finishing in the flesh?

 3:3 Are ye so foolish, that having begun in the Spirit, ye now would consummate in the flesh?

 3:4 And all these have you borne in vain? But would it be in vain?

 3:4 And have ye borne all these things in vain? And I would, it were in vain!

 3:5 Then, he who imparted to you the Spirit, and wrought miracles among you, (did he so) through the works of the law, or through the hearing of faith?

 3:5 He therefore who giveth the Spirit in you, and who worketh miracles among you, [doth he these things] by the deeds of the law? or by the hearing of faith?

 3:6 ¶ AS Abraham believed Aloha, and it was reckoned to him for righteousness,

 3:6 In like manner Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.

 3:7 know therefore that they who are of faith are the children of Abraham.

 3:7 Know ye, therefore, that those who are of faith, they are the children of Abraham.

 3:8 For Aloha who knew before that he would justify the Gentiles through faith, evangelized before unto Abraham; as saith the holy scripture: In thee all the nations shall be blessed:

 3:8 For, because God knew beforehand that the Gentiles would be made just by faith, he preannounced it to Abraham; as saith the holy scripture, In thee shall all nations be blessed.

 3:9 therefore believers are blessed with Abraham the believer.

 3:9 Believers, therefore, it is, who are blessed with believing Abraham.

 3:10 For they who are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one who doeth not all that is written in this law.

 3:10 For they who are of the deeds of the law, are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one who shall not do every thing written in this law.

 3:11 But that man is not justified by the law before Aloha, this maketh manifest: because it is written, The just by faith shall live.

 3:11 And that no one becometh just before God, by the law, is manifest: because it is written, The just by faith, shall live.

 3:12 But the law is not of faith: but he who doeth those things that are written in it shall live by them.

 3:12 Now the law is not of faith; but, whoever shall do the things written in it, shall live by them.

 3:13 But us hath the Meshiha bought from the curse of the law, and hath been made a curse instead of us: for it is written, Accursed is every one who is hanged on the wood:

 3:13 But the Messiah hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, and hath been a curse for us; (for it is written, Cursed is everyone that is hanged on a tree;)

 3:14 in order that upon the nations there might be the blessing of Abraham in Jeshu the Meshiha, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

 3:14 that the blessing of Abraham might be on the Gentiles, through Jesus the Messiah; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit by faith.

 3:15 ¶ MY brethren, I speak as among men: That a covenant of man because confirmed no one rejecteth, or changeth in any thing.

 3:15 My brethren, I speak as among men; a man's covenant which is confirmed, no one setteth aside, or changeth any thing in it.

 3:16 But to Abraham was promised the promise, and to his seed. And he did not say to him, Unto thy seeds, as of many; but, To thy seed, as of one, him, (namely,) who is the Meshiha.

 3:16 Now to Abraham was the promise made, and to his seed. And it said to him, not, to thy seeds, as being many; but to thy seed, as being one, which is the Messiah.

 3:17 But I say this, that the covenant which was confirmed before by Aloha, in the Meshiha, the law which was after, four hundred and thirty years, cannot nullify, nor (can it) abolish the promise.

 3:17 And this I say: That the covenant which was previously confirmed by God in the Messiah, the law which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot set it aside, and nullify the promise.

 3:18 But if the inheritance was by the law, it could not have been by the promise; but Aloha gave it unto Abraham by promise.

 3:18 And if the inheritance were by the law, it would not be by promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise.

 3:19 Wherefore then was the law? It was added on account of transgression, until the Seed should come, he, of whom was the promise; and the law was given by angels into the hand of a Mediator.

 3:19 What then is the law? It was added on account of transgression, until that seed should come, to whom belonged the promise: and the law was given by angels through a mediator.

 3:20 But a Mediator is not of one; but Aloha is one.

 3:20 Now a mediator is not of one; but God is one.

 3:21 Is the law therefore against the promise of Aloha? Impossible: for if a law had been given which could make [guilty man] to live, certainly righteousness would have been by the law.

 3:21 Is the law then opposed to the promise of God? Far be it. For if a law had been given, which could make alive, certainly, righteousness would have been by the law.

 3:22 But the scripture hath included all under sin, that the promise through faith of Jeshu Meshiha might be given to them who believe.

 3:22 But the scripture hath inclosed all under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus the Messiah might be given to them that believe.

 3:23 But until (the dispensation of) faith came, the law kept us, as shut up unto the faith which was to be revealed.

 3:24 The law therefore was our conductor to the Meshiha, that we might be justified by faith.

 3:29 And if you are of the Meshiha, therefore are you the seed of Abraham, and heirs by the promise.

 3:29 And if ye are the Messiah's, then are ye the seed of Abraham, and heirs by the promise.
