Jehovah hath returned upon thee all the blood of the house of Saul, in whose stead thou hast reigned; and Jehovah hath delivered the kingdom into the hand of Absalom thy son; and, behold, thou art [taken] in thine own mischief, because thou art a man of blood.

The LORDª hath returnedª° upon¹ thee all¹ the bloodª of the houseª of Saul,ª in whose¹ stead¹ thou hast reigned;ª° and the LORDª hath deliveredª°¹ the kingdomª into the handª of Absalomª thy son:ª and, behold,¹ thou [art taken] in thy mischief,ª because¹ thou¹ [art] a bloodyª man.ª
