Galatians 5

1 He moveth them to stand in their liberty, 3 and not to observe circumcision: 13 but rather love, which is the sum of the Law. 19 He reckoneth up the works of the flesh, 22 and the fruits of the Spirit, 25 and exhorteth to walk in the Spirit.

 5:1 It was for freedom 1657 that Christ 5547 set 1659 us free 1659; therefore 3767 keep standing 4739 firm 4739 and do not be subject 1758 again 3825 to a yoke 2218 of slavery 1397.

 5:2 ¶ Behold 2396 I, Paul 3972, say 3004 to you that if 1437 you receive 4059 circumcision 4059, Christ 5547 will be of no 3762 benefit 5623 to you.

 5:3 And I testify 3143 again 3825 to every 3956 man 444 who receives 4059 circumcision 4059, that he is under 3781 obligation 3781 to keep 4160 the whole 3650 Law 3551.

 5:4 You have been severed 2673 from Christ 5547, you who 3748 are seeking to be justified 1344 by law 3551; you have fallen 1601b from grace 5485.

 5:5 For we through the Spirit 4151, by faith 4102, are waiting 553 for the hope 1680 of righteousness 1343.

 5:6 For in Christ 5547 Jesus 2424 neither 3777 circumcision 4061 nor 3777 uncircumcision 203 means 2480 anything 5100, but faith 4102 working 1754 through 1223 love 26.

 5:7 ¶ You were running 5143 well 2573; who 5101 hindered 1465 you from obeying 3982 the truth 225?

 5:8 This 3588 persuasion 3988 [did] not [come] from Him who calls 2564 you.

 5:9 A little 3398 leaven 2219 leavens 2220 the whole 3650 lump 5445 [of dough].

 5:10 I have 3982 confidence 3982 in you in the Lord 2962 that you will adopt 5426 no 3762 other 243 view 5426; but the one who is disturbing 5015 you will bear 941 his judgment 2917, whoever 3748 1437 he is.

 5:11 But I, brethren 80, if 1487 I still 2089 preach 2784 circumcision 4061, why 5101 am I still 2089 persecuted 1377? Then 686 the stumbling 4625 block 4625 of the cross 4716 has been abolished 2673.

 5:12 I wish 3785 that those 3588 who are troubling 387 you would even 2532 mutilate 609 themselves.

 5:13 ¶ For you were called 2564 to freedom 1657, brethren 80; only 3440 [do] not [turn] your freedom 1657 into an opportunity 874 for the flesh 4561, but through 1223 love 26 serve 1398 one 240 another 240.

 5:14 For the whole 3956 Law 3551 is fulfilled 4137 in one 1520 word 3056, in the [statement], “YOU SHALL LOVE 25 YOUR NEIGHBOR 4139 AS YOURSELF 4572.”

 5:15 But if 1487 you bite 1143 and devour 2719 one 240 another 240, take 991 care 991 that you are not consumed 355 by one 240 another 240.

 5:16 ¶ But I say 3004, walk 4043 by the Spirit 4151, and you will not carry 5055 out the desire 1939 of the flesh 4561.

 5:17 For the flesh 4561 sets 1937 its desire 1937 against 2596 the Spirit 4151, and the Spirit 4151 against 2596 the flesh 4561; for these 3778 are in opposition 480 to one 240 another 240, so 2443 that you may not do 4160 the things that you please 2309.

 5:18 But if 1487 you are led 71 by the Spirit 4151, you are not under 5259 the Law 3551.

 5:19 Now 1161 the deeds 2041 of the flesh 4561 are evident 5318, which 3748 are: immorality 4202, impurity 167, sensuality 766,

 5:20 idolatry 1495, sorcery 5331, enmities 2189b, strife 2054, jealousy 2205b, outbursts 2372 of anger 2372, disputes 2052, dissensions 1370, factions 139,

 5:21 envying 5355, drunkenness 3178, carousing 2970, and things like 3664 these 3778, of which 3739 I forewarn 4302 you, just 2531a as I have forewarned 4275b you, that those 3588 who practice 4238 such 5108 things 5108 will not inherit 2816 the kingdom 932 of God 2316.

 5:22 But the fruit 2590 of the Spirit 4151 is love 26, joy 5479, peace 1515, patience 3115, kindness 5544, goodness 19b, faithfulness 4102,

 5:23 gentleness 4240, self-control 1466; against 2596 such 5108 things 5108 there is no 3756 law 3551.

 5:24 Now 1161 those 3588 who belong to Christ 5547 Jesus 2424 have crucified 4717 the flesh 4561 with its passions 3804 and desires 1939.

 5:25 ¶ If 1487 we live 2198 by the Spirit 4151, let us also 2532 walk 4748 by the Spirit 4151.

 5:26 Let us not become 1096 boastful 2755, challenging 4292 one 240 another 240, envying 5354 one 240 another 240.
