Galatians 1

6 He wondereth that they have so soon left him and the Gospel, 8 and accurseth those that preach any other gospel than he did. 11 He learned the Gospel not of men, but of God: 13 and sheweth what he was before his calling, 17 and what he did presently after it.

1:1 Paul 3972, an apostle 652 (not [sent] from men 444 nor 3761 through 1223 the agency 1223 of man 444, but through 1223 Jesus 2424 Christ 5547 and God 2316 the Father 3962, who raised 1453 Him from the dead 3498),

1:2 and all 3956 the brethren 80 who are with me, ¶ To the churches 1577 of Galatia 1053:

1:3 ¶ Grace 5485 to you and peace 1515 from God 2316 our Father 3962 and the Lord 2962 Jesus 2424 Christ 5547,

1:4 who gave 1325 Himself 1438 for our sins 266 so 3704 that He might rescue 1807 us from this 3588 present 1764 evil 4190 age 165, according 2596 to the will 2307 of our God 2316 and Father 3962,

1:5 to whom 3739 [be] the glory 1391 forevermore 165. Amen 281.

1:6 ¶ I am 2296 amazed 2296 that you are so 3779 quickly 5030 deserting 3346a 575 Him who called 2564 you by the grace 5485 of Christ 5547, for a different 2087 gospel 2098;

1:7 which 3739 is [really] not another 243; only 1487 3361 there are some 5100 who are disturbing 5015 you and want 2309 to distort 3344 the gospel 2098 of Christ 5547.

1:8 But even 2532 if 1437 we, or 2228 an angel 32a from heaven 3772, should preach 2097 to you a gospel 2097 contrary 3844 to what 3739 we have preached 2097 to you, he is to be accursed 331!

1:9 As we have said 4275b before 4275b, so 2532 I say 3004 again 3825 now 737, if 1487 any 5100 man 5100 is preaching 2097 to you a gospel 2097 contrary 3844 to what 3739 you received 3880, he is to be accursed 331!

1:10 ¶ For am I now 737 seeking 3982 the favor 3982 of men 444, or 2228 of God 2316? Or 2228 am I striving 2212 to please 700 men 444? If 1487 I were still 2089 trying to please 700 men 444, I would not be a bond-servant 1401 of Christ 5547.

1:11 ¶ For I would have 1107 you know 1107, brethren 80, that the gospel 2098 which was preached 2097 by me is not according 2596 to man 444.

1:12 For I neither 3761 received 3880 it from man 444, nor 3777 was I taught 1321 it, but [I received it] through 1223 a revelation 602 of Jesus 2424 Christ 5547.

1:13 ¶ For you have heard 191 of my former 4218 manner 391 of life 391 in Judaism 2454, how 3754 I used to persecute 1377 the church 1577 of God 2316 beyond 2596 5236 measure 5236 and tried to destroy 4199 it;

1:14 and I was advancing 4298 in Judaism 2454 beyond 5228 many 4183 of my contemporaries 4915 among 1722 my countrymen 1085, being 5225 more 4053 extremely 4053 zealous 2207 for my ancestral 3967 traditions 3862.

1:15 But when 3753 God, who had set 873 me apart 873 [even] from my mother’s 3384 womb 2836 and called 2564 me through 1223 His grace 5485, was pleased 2106

1:16 to reveal 601 His Son 5207 in me so 2443 that I might preach 2097 Him among 1722 the Gentiles 1484, I did not immediately 2112 consult 4323 with flesh 4561 and blood 129,

1:17 nor 3761 did I go 424 up to Jerusalem 2414 to those 3588 who were apostles 652 before 4253 me; but I went 565 away 565 to Arabia 688, and returned 5290 once 3825 more 3825 to Damascus 1154.

1:18 ¶ Then 1899 three 5140 years 2094 later 3326 I went 424 up to Jerusalem 2414 to become 2477 acquainted 2477 with Cephas 2786, and stayed 1961 with him fifteen 1178b days 2250.

1:19 But I did not see 3708 any 2087 other 2087 of the apostles 652 except 1508 James 2385, the Lord’s 2962 brother 80.

1:20 (Now 1161 in what 3739 I am writing 1125 to you, I assure 2400 you before 1799 God 2316 that I am not lying 5574.)

1:21 Then 1899 I went 2064 into the regions 2824 of Syria 4947 and Cilicia 2791.

1:22 I was [still] unknown 50 by sight 4383 to the churches 1577 of Judea 2453 which were in Christ 5547;

1:23 but only 3440, they kept hearing 191, “He who once 4218 persecuted 1377 us is now 3568 preaching 2097 the faith 4102 which 3739 he once 4218 tried to destroy 4199.”
