Deuteronomy 14

1 God's children are not to disfigure themselves in mourning. 3 What may, and what may not be eaten, 4 of beasts, 9 of fishes, 11 of fowls. 21 That which dieth of itself may not be eaten. 22 Tithes of divine service. 23 Tithes and firstlings of rejoicing before Yahweh. 28 The third year's tithe of alms and charity.

 14:1 ¶ Ye x859 [are] the children 1121 of Yahweh 3068 your Elohim: 430 ye shall not x3808 cut y1413 z8704 yourselves, x1413 nor x3808 make 7760 z8799 any baldness 7144 between x996 your eyes 5869 for the dead. 4191 z8801

 14:2 For x3588 thou x859 [art] an holy 6918 people 5971 unto Yahweh 3068 thy Elohim, 430 and Yahweh 3068 hath chosen 977 z8804 thee to be x1961 a peculiar 5459 people 5971 unto himself, above all x4480 x3605 the nations 5971 that x834 [are] upon 6440 x5921 the earth. 127

 14:3 ¶ Thou shalt not x3808 eat 398 z8799 any x3605 abominable thing. 8441

 14:4 These x2063 [are] the beasts 929 which x834 ye shall eat: 398 z8799 the ox, 7794 the sheep, 7716 3775 and the goat, 5795 x7716

 14:5 The hart, 354 and the roebuck, 6643 and the fallow deer, 3180 and the wild goat, 689 and the pygarg, 1788 and the wild ox, 8377 and the chamois. 2169

 14:6 And every x3605 beast 929 that parteth 6536 z8688 the hoof, 6541 and cleaveth y8157 x8156 the cleft y8156 z8802 x8157 into two 8147 claws, 6541 [and] cheweth 5927 z8688 the cud 1625 among the beasts, 929 that ye shall eat. 398 z8799

 14:7 Nevertheless x389 x853 these x2088 ye shall not x3808 eat 398 z8799 of them that chew 5927 z8688 x4480 the cud, 1625 or of them that divide 6536 z8688 x4480 the cloven 8156 z8803 hoof; 6541 [as] x853 the camel, 1581 and the hare, 768 and the coney: 8227 for x3588 they x1992 chew 5927 z8688 the cud, 1625 but divide 6536 z8689 not x3808 the hoof; 6541 [therefore] they x1992 [are] unclean 2931 unto you.

 14:8 And the swine, 2386 because x3588 it x1931 divideth 6536 z8688 the hoof, 6541 yet cheweth not x3808 the cud, 1625 it x1931 [is] unclean 2931 unto you: ye shall not x3808 eat 398 z8799 of their flesh, 1320 x4480 nor x3808 touch 5060 z8799 their dead carcase. 5038

 14:9 ¶ x853 These x2088 ye shall eat 398 z8799 of all x4480 x3605 that x834 [are] in the waters: 4325 all x3605 that x834 have fins 5579 and scales 7193 shall ye eat: 398 z8799

 14:10 And whatsoever x3605 x834 hath not x369 fins 5579 and scales 7193 ye may not x3808 eat; 398 z8799 it x1931 [is] unclean 2931 unto you.

 14:11 ¶ [Of] all x3605 clean 2889 birds 6833 ye shall eat. 398 z8799

 14:12 But these x2088 [are they] of which x834 ye shall not x3808 eat: 398 z8799 the eagle, 5404 and the ossifrage, 6538 and the ospray, 5822

 14:13 And the glede, 7201 and the kite, 344 and the vulture 1772 after his kind, 4327

 14:14 And every x3605 raven 6158 after his kind, 4327

 14:15 And the owl, 1323 3284 and the night hawk, 8464 and the cuckow, 7828 and the hawk 5322 after his kind, 4327

 14:16 x853 The little owl, 3563 and the great owl, 3244 and the swan, 8580

 14:17 And the pelican, 6893 and the gier eagle, 7360 and the cormorant, 7994

 14:18 And the stork, 2624 and the heron 601 after her kind, 4327 and the lapwing, 1744 and the bat. 5847

 14:19 And every x3605 creeping thing 8318 that flieth 5775 [is] unclean 2931 unto you: they shall not x3808 be eaten. 398 z8735

 14:20 [But of] all x3605 clean 2889 fowls 5775 ye may eat. 398 z8799

 14:21 ¶ Ye shall not x3808 eat 398 z8799 [of] any x3605 thing that dieth of itself: 5038 thou shalt give 5414 z8799 it unto the stranger 1616 that x834 [is] in thy gates, 8179 that he may eat 398 z8804 it; or x176 thou mayest sell 4376 z8800 it unto an alien: 5237 for x3588 thou x859 [art] an holy 6918 people 5971 unto Yahweh 3068 thy Elohim. 430 Thou shalt not x3808 seethe 1310 z8762 a kid 1423 in his mother's 517 milk. 2461

 14:22 Thou shalt truly y6237 z8763 tithe 6237 z8762 x853 all x3605 the increase 8393 of thy seed, 2233 that the field 7704 bringeth forth 3318 z8802 year 8141 by year. 8141

 14:23 And thou shalt eat 398 z8804 before 6440 Yahweh 3068 thy Elohim, 430 in the place 4725 which x834 he shall choose 977 z8799 to place 7931 z8763 his name 8034 there, x8033 the tithe 4643 of thy corn, 1715 of thy wine, 8492 and of thine oil, 3323 and the firstlings 1062 of thy herds 1241 and of thy flocks; 6629 that x4616 thou mayest learn 3925 z8799 to fear 3372 z8800 x853 Yahweh 3068 thy Elohim 430 always. 3117 x3605

 14:24 And if x3588 the way 1870 be too long 7235 z8799 for x4480 thee, so that 3588 thou art not able 3201 z8799 x3808 to carry 5375 z8800 it; [or] if x3588 the place 4725 be too far 7368 z8799 from x4480 thee, which x834 Yahweh 3068 thy Elohim 430 shall choose 977 z8799 to set 7760 z8800 his name 8034 there, x8033 when x3588 Yahweh 3068 thy Elohim 430 hath blessed 1288 z8762 thee:

 14:25 Then shalt thou turn 5414 z8804 [it] into money, 3701 and bind up 6696 z8804 the money 3701 in thine hand, 3027 and shalt go 1980 z8804 unto x413 the place 4725 which x834 Yahweh 3068 thy Elohim 430 shall choose: 977 z8799

 14:26 And thou shalt bestow 5414 z8804 that money 3701 for whatsoever x3605 x834 thy soul 5315 lusteth after, 183 z8762 for oxen, 1241 or for sheep, 6629 or for wine, 3196 or for strong drink, 7941 or for whatsoever x3605 x834 thy soul 5315 desireth: 7592 z8799 and thou shalt eat 398 z8804 there x8033 before 6440 Yahweh 3068 thy Elohim, 430 and thou shalt rejoice, 8055 z8804 thou, x859 and thine household, 1004

 14:27 And the Levite 3881 that x834 [is] within thy gates; 8179 thou shalt not x3808 forsake 5800 z8799 him; for x3588 he hath no x369 part 2506 nor inheritance 5159 with x5973 thee.

 14:28 ¶ At the end 7097 x4480 of three 7969 years 8141 thou shalt bring forth 3318 z8686 x853 all x3605 the tithe 4643 of thine increase 8393 the same x1931 year, 8141 and shalt lay [it] up y3240 z8689 x5117 within thy gates: 8179

 14:29 And the Levite, 3881 (because x3588 he hath no x369 part 2506 nor inheritance 5159 with x5973 thee,) and the stranger, 1616 and the fatherless, 3490 and the widow, 490 which x834 [are] within thy gates, 8179 shall come, 935 z8804 and shall eat 398 z8804 and be satisfied; 7646 z8804 that x4616 Yahweh 3068 thy Elohim 430 may bless 1288 z8762 thee in all x3605 the work 4639 of thine hand 3027 which x834 thou doest. 6213 z8799
