 3:1 waTomer läH näómiy chámôtäH BiTiy hálo ávaQesh-läkh' mänôªch ásher yiyţav-läkh'

 3:1 ¶ Then No`ómî נָעֳמִי 5281 her mother in law 2545 said 559 z8799 unto her, My daughter, 1323 shall I not x3808 seek 1245 z8762 rest 4494 for thee, that x834 it may be well 3190 z8799 with thee?

וְעַתָּה הֲלֹא בֹעַז מֹדַעְתָּנוּ אֲשֶׁר הָיִית אֶת־נַעֲרוֹתָיו הִנֵּה־הוּא זֹרֶה אֶת־גֹּרֶן הַשְּׂעֹרִים הַלָּיְלָה

 3:2 w'aTäh hálo voaz moda'Tänû ásher häyiyt et-naárôtäyw hiNëh-hû zoreh et-Goren haS'oriym haLäy'läh

 3:2 And now x6258 [is] not x3808 Bö`az בֹּעַז 1162 of our kindred, 4130 with x854 whose x834 maidens 5291 thou wast? x1961 Behold, x2009 he x1931 winnoweth 2219 z8802 barley 8184 to night 3915 in x853 the threshingfloor. 1637

וְרָחַצְתְּ וָסַכְתְּ וְשַׂמְתְּ *שִׂמְלֹתֵךְ [שִׂמְלֹתַיִךְ] עָלַיִךְ *וְיָרַדְתִּי [וְיָרַדְתְּ] הַגֹּרֶן אַל־תִּוָּדְעִי לָאִישׁ עַד כַּלֹּתוֹ לֶאֱכֹל וְלִשְׁתּוֹת

 3:3 w'rächatz'T' wäšakh'T' w'sam'T' *sim'lotëkh' [sim'lotayikh'] älayikh' *w'yärad'Tiy [w'yärad'T'] haGoren al-Tiûäd'iy läiysh ad KaLotô leékhol w'lish'Tôt

וִיהִי בְשָׁכְבוֹ וְיָדַעַתְּ אֶת־הַמָּקוֹם אֲשֶׁר יִשְׁכַּב־שָׁם וּבָאת וְגִלִּית מַרְגְּלֹתָיו *וְשָׁכָבְתִּי [וְשָׁכָבְתְּ] וְהוּא יַגִּיד לָךְ אֵת אֲשֶׁר תַּעֲשִׂין

 3:4 wiyhiy v'shäkh'vô w'yädaaT' et-haMäqôm ásher yish'Kav-shäm ûvät w'giLiyt mar'G'lotäyw *w'shäkhäv'Tiy [w'shäkhäv'T'] w'hû yaGiyd läkh' ët ásher Taásiyn

 3:4 And it shall be, x1961 when he lieth down, 7901 z8800 that thou shalt mark 3045 z8804 x853 the place 4725 where x834 x8033 he shall lie, 7901 z8799 and thou shalt go in, 935 z8804 and uncover 1540 z8765 his feet, 4772 and lay thee down; 7901 z8804 and he x1931 will tell 5046 z8686 thee x853 what x834 thou shalt do. 6213 z8799

וַתֹּאמֶר אֵלֶיהָ כֹּל אֲשֶׁר־תֹּאמְרִי *_ [אֵלַי] אֶעֱשֶׂה

 3:5 waTomer ëleyhä Kol ásher-Tom'riy *_ [ëlay] eéseh

וַתֵּרֶד הַגֹּרֶן וַתַּעַשׂ כְּכֹל אֲשֶׁר־צִוַּתָּה חֲמוֹתָהּ

 3:6 waTëred haGoren waTaas K'khol ásher-tziûaTäh chámôtäH

 3:6 ¶ And she went down 3381 z8799 unto the floor, 1637 and did 6213 z8799 according to all x3605 that x834 her mother in law 2545 bade 6680 z8765 her.

וַיֹּאכַל בֹּעַז וַיֵּשְׁתְּ וַיִּיטַב לִבּוֹ וַיָּבֹא לִשְׁכַּב בִּקְצֵה הָעֲרֵמָה וַתָּבֹא בַלָּט וַתְּגַל מַרְגְּלֹתָיו וַתִּשְׁכָּב

 3:7 waYokhal Boaz waYësh'T' waYiyţav liBô waYävo lish'Kav Biq'tzëh häárëmäh waTävo vaLäţ waT'gal mar'G'lotäyw waTish'Käv

 3:7 And when Bö`az בֹּעַז 1162 had eaten 398 z8799 and drunk, 8354 z8799 and his heart 3820 was merry, 3190 z8799 he went 935 z8799 to lie down 7901 z8800 at the end 7097 of the heap of corn: 6194 and she came 935 z8799 softly, 3909 and uncovered 1540 z8762 his feet, 4772 and laid her down. 7901 z8799

וַיְהִי בַּחֲצִי הַלַּיְלָה וַיֶּחֱרַד הָאִישׁ וַיִּלָּפֵת וְהִנֵּה אִשָּׁה שֹׁכֶבֶת מַרְגְּלֹתָיו

וַיֹּאמֶר מִי־אָתּ וַתֹּאמֶר אָנֹכִי רוּת אֲמָתֶךָ וּפָרַשְׂתָּ כְנָפֶךָ עַל־אֲמָתְךָ כִּי גֹאֵל אָתָּה

וַיֹּאמֶר בְּרוּכָה אַתְּ לַיהוָה בִּתִּי הֵיטַבְתְּ חַסְדֵּךְ הָאַחֲרוֹן מִן־הָרִאשׁוֹן לְבִלְתִּי־לֶכֶת אַחֲרֵי הַבַּחוּרִים אִם־דַּל וְאִם־עָשִׁיר

 3:10 waYomer B'rûkhäh aT' layhwäh BiTiy hëyţav'T' chaš'Dëkh' häachárôn min-härishôn l'vil'Tiy-lekhet achárëy haBachûriym im-Dal w'im-äshiyr

 3:10 And he said, 559 z8799 Blessed 1288 z8803 [be] thou x859 of Yähwè יָהוֶה, 3068 my daughter: 1323 [for] thou hast shewed y3190 z8689 more x3190 kindness 2617 in the latter end 314 than x4480 at the beginning, 7223 inasmuch as thou followedst 310 y3212 z8800 x1980 not 1115 young men, 970 whether x518 poor 1800 or x518 rich. 6223

וְעַתָּה בִּתִּי אַל־תִּירְאִי כֹּל אֲשֶׁר־תֹּאמְרִי אֶעֱשֶׂה־לָּךְ כִּי יוֹדֵעַ כָּל־שַׁעַר עַמִּי כִּי אֵשֶׁת חַיִל אָתְּ

 3:11 w'aTäh BiTiy al-Tiyr'iy Kol ásher-Tom'riy eéseh-Läkh' Kiy yôdëª Käl-shaar aMiy Kiy ëshet chayil äT'

 3:11 And now, x6258 my daughter, 1323 fear 3372 z8799 not; x408 I will do 6213 z8799 to thee all x3605 that x834 thou requirest: 559 z8799 for x3588 all x3605 the city 8179 of my people 5971 doth know 3045 z8802 that x3588 thou [art] a virtuous 2428 woman. 802

וְעַתָּה כִּי אָמְנָם כִּי *אִם [_] גֹאֵל אָנֹכִי וְגַם יֵשׁ גֹּאֵל קָרוֹב מִמֶּנִּי

 3:12 w'aTäh Kiy äm'näm Kiy *im [_] goël änokhiy w'gam yësh Goël qärôv miMeNiy

 3:12 And now x6258 x3588 it is true 551 that x3588 x518 I x595 [am thy] near kinsman: 1350 z8802 howbeit x1571 there is 3426 a kinsman 1350 z8802 nearer 7138 than x4480 I.

לִינִי הַלַּיְלָה וְהָיָה בַבֹּקֶר אִם־יִגְאָלֵךְ טוֹב יִגְאָל וְאִם־לֹא יַחְפֹּץ לְגָאֳלֵךְ וּגְאַלְתִּיךְ אָנֹכִי חַי־יְהוָה שִׁכְבִי עַד־הַבֹּקֶר

 3:13 liyniy haLay'läh w'häyäh vaBoqer im-yig'älëkh' ţôv yig'äl w'im-lo yach'Potz l'gäólëkh' ûg'al'Tiykh' änokhiy chay-y'hwäh shikh'viy ad-haBoqer

 3:13 Tarry 3885 z8798 this night, 3915 and it shall be x1961 in the morning, 1242 [that] if x518 he will perform unto thee the part of a kinsman, 1350 z8799 well; 2896 let him do the kinsman's part: 1350 z8799 but if x518 he will 2654 z8799 not x3808 do the part of a kinsman 1350 z8800 to thee, then will I x595 do the part of a kinsman 1350 z8804 to thee, [as] Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 liveth: 2416 lie down 7901 z8798 until x5704 the morning. 1242

וַתִּשְׁכַּב *מַרְגְּלָתַו [מַרְגְּלוֹתָיו] עַד־הַבֹּקֶר וַתָּקָם *בִּטְרוֹם [בְּטֶרֶם] יַכִּיר אִישׁ אֶת־רֵעֵהוּ וַיֹּאמֶר אַל־יִוָּדַע כִּי־בָאָה הָאִשָּׁה הַגֹּרֶן

 3:14 waTish'Kav *mar'G'lätaw [mar'G'lôtäyw] ad-haBoqer waTäqäm *Biţ'rôm [B'ţerem] yaKiyr iysh et-rëëhû waYomer al-yiûäda Kiy-vääh häiSHäh haGoren

 3:14 ¶ And she lay 7901 z8799 at his feet 4772 until x5704 the morning: 1242 and she rose up 6965 z8799 before 2958 one 376 could know 5234 z8686 x853 another. 7453 And he said, 559 z8799 Let it not x408 be known 3045 z8735 that x3588 a woman 802 came 935 z8804 into the floor. 1637

וַיֹּאמֶר הָבִי הַמִּטְפַּחַת אֲשֶׁר־עָלַיִךְ וְאֶחֳזִי־בָהּ וַתֹּאחֶז בָּהּ וַיָּמָד שֵׁשׁ־שְׂעֹרִים וַיָּשֶׁת עָלֶיהָ וַיָּבֹא הָעִיר

 3:15 waYomer häviy haMiţ'Pachat ásher-älayikh' w'echóziy-väH waTochez BäH waYämäd shësh-s'oriym waYäshet äleyhä waYävo häiyr

 3:15 Also he said, 559 z8799 Bring 3051 z8798 the vail 4304 that x834 [thou hast] upon x5921 thee, and hold 270 z8798 it. And when she held 270 z8799 it, he measured 4058 z8799 six 8337 [measures] of barley, 8184 and laid 7896 z8799 [it] on x5921 her: and she went y935 z8799 into x935 the city. 5892

וַתָּבוֹא אֶל־חֲמוֹתָהּ וַתֹּאמֶר מִי־אַתְּ בִּתִּי וַתַּגֶּד־לָהּ אֵת כָּל־אֲשֶׁר עָשָׂה־לָהּ הָאִישׁ

וַתֹּאמֶר שֵׁשׁ־הַשְּׂעֹרִים הָאֵלֶּה נָתַן לִי כִּי אָמַר *_ [אֵלַי] אַל־תָּבוֹאִי רֵיקָם אֶל־חֲמוֹתֵךְ

 3:17 waTomer shësh-haS'oriym häëLeh nätan liy Kiy ämar *_ [ëlay] al-Tävôiy rëyqäm el-chámôtëkh'

 3:17 And she said, 559 z8799 These x428 six 8337 [measures] of barley 8184 gave 5414 z8804 he me; for x3588 he said 559 z8804 to x413 me, Go 935 z8799 not x408 empty 7387 unto x413 thy mother in law. 2545

וַתֹּאמֶר שְׁבִי בִתִּי עַד אֲשֶׁר תֵּדְעִין אֵיךְ יִפֹּל דָּבָר כִּי לֹא יִשְׁקֹט הָאִישׁ כִּי־אִם־כִּלָּה הַדָּבָר הַיּוֹם

 3:18 waTomer sh'viy viTiy ad ásher Tëd'iyn ëykh' yiPol Dävär Kiy lo yish'qoţ häiysh Kiy-im-KiLäh haDävär haYôm

 3:18 Then said 559 z8799 she, Sit still, 3427 z8798 my daughter, 1323 until x5704 x834 thou know 3045 z8799 how x349 the matter 1697 will fall: 5307 z8799 for x3588 the man 376 will not x3808 be in rest, 8252 z8799 until 518 x3588 he have finished 3615 z8765 the thing 1697 this day. 3117
