 6:1 And as helpers, we beseech of you that the grace of Aloha which you have received be not made ineffectual in you.

 6:1 And as aiders we entreat of you, that the grace of God which ye have received, may not be ineffectual in you.

 6:2 For he hath said, In the time acceptable I have heard thee, And in the day of salvation I have helped thee. Behold, Now is the time acceptable; behold, Now is the day of salvation.

 6:2 For he hath said, In an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in the day of life I have aided thee. Behold, now is the acceptable time! and behold, now is the day of life!

 6:3 Nor in any thing give to any man occasion of stumbling, that no blemish may be upon our ministry;

 6:3 Give ye no occasion of offence to any one in any thing, that there may be no reproach on our ministry.

 6:4 but in every thing will we demonstrate ourselves that we are the ministers of Aloha; by much patience, by afflictions, by necessity, by imprisonments,

 6:4 But we, in all things, would show ourselves to be the ministers of God, in much endurance, in afflictions, in necessity, in distresses,

 6:5 by stripes, by chains, by tumults, by labour, by watching, by fasting,

 6:5 in scourgings, in imprisonments, in tumults, in toil, in watching, in fasting;

 6:6 by purity, by knowledge, by prolonging the mind, by benignity, by the Spirit of Holiness, by love without deceit,

 6:6 by purity, by knowledge, by long suffering, by benignity, by the Holy Spirit, by love unfeigned,

 6:7 by the doctrine of truth, by the power of Aloha, by the arms of righteousness for the right hand and for the left,

 6:7 by the speaking of truth, by the energy of God, by the armor of righteousness on the right hand and on the left;

 6:8 by glory and by shame, by praise and by abuse; as deceivers, and true;

 6:8 amid honor and dishonor, amid praise and contumely; as deceivers, and yet true;

 6:9 as unknown, and yet we are known; as dead, yet, lo, we live; as chastened, yet we die not;

 6:9 as not known, and yet we are well known; as dying, and behold, we live; as chastised, yet not killed;

 6:10 as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet many making rich; as having nothing, yet possessing every thing.

 6:10 as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as indigent, yet enriching many; as possessing nothing, yet having all things.

 6:11 ¶ OUR mouth is opened to you, Kurinthoyee, and our heart expanded.

 6:11 O ye Corinthians, our mouth is opened towards you, and our heart expanded.

 6:12 You are not constrained in us, but you are constrained in your own bowels.

 6:12 Ye are not straitened in us, but ye are straitened in your own bowels.

 6:13 But as unto (my) children, I say to you, Render to me my gains which are with you, and expand your love towards me.

 6:13 I speak as to [my] children, Pay me the debt which ye owe, and expand your love towards me.

 6:14 And be not sons of the yoke with them who believe not. For what participation hath righteousness with iniquity? Or what commixture hath the light with darkness?

 6:14 And be ye not yoke-fellows with them that believe not: for what fellowship hath righteousness with iniquity? or what communion hath light with darkness?

 6:15 Or what concord hath the Meshiha with Satana? Or what portion hath the believer with the unbeliever?

 6:15 or what concord hath the Messiah with Satan? or what part hath a believer with an unbeliever?

 6:16 Or what union hath the temple of Aloha with (that) of demons? For you are the temple of Aloha the living; as it is written, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; And I will be their God, And they shall be to me a people.

 6:16 or what agreement hath the temple of God with that of demons? For ye are the temple of the living God; as it is said, I will dwell among them, and walk among them, and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

 6:17 Wherefore come out from among them, And be separate from them, (saith the Lord,) And the impure touch not; And I will receive you,

 6:17 Wherefore, come ye out from among them, and be ye separate from them, saith the Lord; and come not near the unclean thing, and I will receive you;

 6:18 And I will be to you a Father, And you shall be to me for sons and daughters, Saith the Lord, who holdeth all.

 6:18 and will be to you a Father, and ye shall be sons and daughters to me, saith the Lord Almighty.
