 1:1 ¶ God, having of old time spoken unto the fathers in the prophets by divers portions and in divers manners,

 1:1 ¶ God,º who at sundry timesº andº in divers mannersº spakeºº in time pastº unto theº fathersº byº theº prophets,º

 1:2 hath at the end of these days spoken unto us in [his] Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom also he made the worlds;

 1:2 Hathºº inº theseº lastº daysº spokenºº unto usº byº [his] Son,º whomº he hath appointedºº heirº of all things,º byº whomº alsoº he madeºº theº worlds;º

 1:3 who being the effulgence of his glory, and the very image of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had made purification of sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

 1:3 Whoº beingºº the brightnessº of [his] glory,º andº the express imageº of hisºº person,º andº upholdingºº all thingsº by theº wordº of hisº power,º when he hadººº byº himselfº purgedººº ourº sins,º sat downºº onº the right handº of theº Majestyº onº high;º

 1:4 having become by so much better than the angels, as he hath inherited a more excellent name than they.

 1:4 Being madeºº so muchº betterº thanº theº angels,º asº he hath by inheritance obtainedºº a more excellentº nameº thanº they.º

 1:5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, This day have I begotten thee? and again, I will be to him a Father, And he shall be to me a Son?

 1:5 Forº unto whichº of theº angelsº saidº heºº at any time,º Thouº artºº myº Son,º this dayº haveºº Iº begottenºº thee?ºº Andº again,º Iº will beºº toº himº aº Father,º andº heº shall beºº toº meº aº Son?º

 1:6 And when he again bringeth in the firstborn into the world he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.

 1:6 Andº again,º whenº he bringeth inºº theº firstbegottenº intoº theº world,º he saith,ºº Andº letºº allº the angelsº of Godº worshipºº him.º

 1:7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels winds, And his ministers a flame a fire:

 1:7 Andº ofºº the angelsººº he saith,ºº Who makethºº hisºº angelsº spirits,º andº hisºº ministersº a flameº of fire.º

 1:8 but of the Son [he saith], Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever; And the sceptre of uprightness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.

 1:8 Butº untoº theº Sonº [he saith], Thyº throne,ºº O God,º [is] forº everº and ever:ºº a sceptreº of righteousnessº [is] theº sceptreº of thyº kingdom.º

 1:9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; Therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee With the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

 1:9 Thou hast lovedºº righteousness,º andº hatedºº iniquity;º thereforeºº God,º [even] thyº God,º hath anointedºº theeº with the oilº of gladnessº aboveº thyº fellows.º

 1:10 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning didst lay the foundation of the earth, And the heavens are the works of thy hands:

 1:10 And,º Thou,º Lord,º inº the beginningº hast laid the foundationºº of theº earth;º andº theº heavensº areºº the worksº of thineº hands:º

 1:11 They shall perish; but thou continuest: And they all shall wax old as doth a garment;

 1:11 Theyº shall perish;ºº butº thouº remainest;ºº andº they allº shall wax oldºº asº doth a garment;º

 1:12 And as a mantle shalt thou roll them up, As a garment, and they shall be changed: But thou art the same, And thy years shall not fail.

 1:12 Andº asº a vestureº shalt thou foldºº themº up,ººº andº they shall be changed:ºº butº thouº artºº theº same,º andº thyº yearsº shallºº notº fail.ºº

 1:13 But of which of the angels hath he said at any time, Sit thou on my right hand, Till I make thine enemies the footstool of thy feet?

 1:13 Butº toº whichº of theº angelsº saidº heºº at any time,º Sitºº onº myº right hand,º untilºº I makeºº thineº enemiesº thyº footstool?ººº

 1:14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to do service for the sake of them that shall inherit salvation?

 1:14 Areº theyºº notº allº ministeringº spirits,º sent forthºº toº ministerºº forº them who shallºº beº heirsº ofºº salvation?º
