And it came to pass in the eighteenth year of king Josiah, that the king sent Shaphan, the son of Azaliah the son of Meshullam, the scribe, to the house of Jehovah, saying,

And it came to pass¹ in the eighteenthªª yearª of kingª Yö´šiyyà יֹאשִׁיָּה,ª [that] the kingª sentª°¹ Šäfän שָׁפָןª the sonª of ´Áxalyà אֲצַליָה,ª the sonª of Mæšulläm מְשֻׁלָּם,ª the scribe,ª° to the houseª of Yähwè יָהוֶה,ª saying,ª°
