Now, behold, thou trustest upon the staff of this bruised reed, even upon Egypt; whereon if a man lean, it will go into his hand, and pierce it: so is Pharaoh king of Egypt unto all that trust on him.

Now,¹ behold,¹ thou trustestª° upon¹ the staffª of this¹ bruisedª° reed,ª [even] upon¹ Egypt,ª on¹ which¹ if a manª lean,ª° it will goª° into his hand,ª and pierceª° it: so¹ [is] Pharaohª kingª of Egyptª unto all¹ that trustª° on¹ him.

Now¹ behold,¹ thou trustestª° vpon¹ the staffeª of this¹ bruisedª° reed,ª [euen] vpon¹ Egypt,ª on¹ which¹ if a manª leane,ª° it will goeª° into his hand,ª and pierceª° it: so¹ [is] Pharaohª kingª of Egyptª vnto all¹ that trustª° on¹ him.

See now, art thou trusting for thyself on this broken staff of reed, [even] upon Mizraim{gr.Egypt}? whosoever shall stay himself upon it, it shall even go into his hand, and pierce it: so [is] Pharaoh{gr.Pharao} king of Mizraim{gr.Egypt} to all that trust on him.
