Then he said to Gehazi, Gird up thy loins, and take my staff in thy hand, and go thy way: if thou meet any man, salute him not; and if any salute thee, answer him not again: and lay my staff upon the face of the child.

Then he saidª° to Gehazi,ª Gird upª° thy loins,ª and takeª° my staffª in thine hand,ª and go thy way:²°¹ if¹ thou meetª° any man,ª saluteª° him not;¹ and if¹ anyª saluteª° thee, answer¹ him not¹ again:²° and layª° my staffª upon¹ the faceª of the child.ª
