and he took it, and the king thereof, and all the cities thereof; and they smote them with the edge of the sword, and utterly destroyed all the souls that were therein; he left none remaining: as he had done to Hebron, so he did to Debir, and to the king thereof; as he had done also to Libnah, and to the king thereof.

And he tookª° it, and the kingª thereof, and all¹ the citiesª thereof; and they smoteª° them with the edgeª of the sword,ª and utterly destroyedª°¹ all¹ the soulsª that¹ [were] therein; he leftª° none¹ remaining:ª as¹ he had doneª° to Hebron,ª so¹ he didª° to Debir,ª and to the kingª thereof; as¹ he had doneª° also to Libnah,ª and to her king.ª
