And Jehovah discomfited them before Israel, and he slew them with a great slaughter at Gibeon, and chased them by the way of the ascent of Beth-horon, and smote them to Azekah, and unto Makkedah.

And the LORDª discomfitedª° them beforeª Israel,ª and slewª° them with a greatª slaughterª at Gibeon,ª and chasedª° them along the wayª that goeth upª to Bethhoron,ª and smoteª° them to¹ Azekah,ª and unto¹ Makkedah.ª
