then the priest shall look on the plague; and, behold, if the appearance thereof be deeper than the skin, and there be in it yellow thin hair, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean: it is a scall, it is leprosy of the head or of the beard.

Then the priestª shall seeª°¹ the plague:ª and, behold,¹ if it [be] in sightª deeperª than¹ the skin;ª [and there be] in it a yellowª thinª hair;ª then the priestª shall pronounce him unclean:ª°¹ it¹ [is] a dry scall,ª [even] a leprosyª upon the headª or¹ beard.ª
