2 Samuel 9

1 David by Ziba sendeth for Mephibosheth. 7 For Jonathan's sake he entertaineth him at his table, and restoreth him all that was Saul's. 9 He maketh Ziba his farmer.

 9:1 Then David 1732 said 559, “Is there 3426 yet 5750 anyone 834 left 3498 of the house 1004 of Saul 7586, that I may show 6213a him kindness 2617a for Jonathan’s 3083 sake 5668?”

 9:2 Now there was a servant 5650 of the house 1004 of Saul 7586 whose name 8034 was Ziba 6717, and they called 7121 him to David 1732; and the king 4428 said 559 to him, “Are you Ziba 6717?” And he said 559, “[I am] your servant 5650.”

 9:3 The king 4428 said 559, “Is there 657 not yet 5750 anyone 376 of the house 1004 of Saul 7586 to whom I may show 6213a the kindness 2617a of God 430?” And Ziba 6717 said 559 to the king 4428, “There is still 5750 a son 1121 of Jonathan 3083 who is crippled 5223 in both feet 7272.”

 9:4 So the king 4428 said 559 to him, “Where 375 is he?” And Ziba 6717 said 559 to the king 4428, “Behold 2009, he is in the house 1004 of Machir 4353 the son 1121 of Ammiel 5988 in Lo-debar 3810.”

 9:5 Then King 4428 David 1732 sent 7971 and brought 3947 him from the house 1004 of Machir 4353 the son 1121 of Ammiel 5988, from Lo-debar 3810.

 9:6 Mephibosheth 4648, the son 1121 of Jonathan 3083 the son 1121 of Saul 7586, came 935 to David 1732 and fell 5307 on his face 6440 and prostrated 7812 himself. And David 1732 said 559, “Mephibosheth 4648.” And he said 559, “Here 2009 is your servant 5650!”

 9:7 David 1732 said 559 to him, “Do not fear 3372a, for I will surely 6213a show 6213a kindness 2617a to you for the sake 5668 of your father 1 Jonathan 3083, and will restore 7725 to you all 3605 the land 7704 of your grandfather 1 Saul 7586; and you shall eat 398 at my table 7979 regularly 8548.”

 9:8 Again he prostrated 7812 himself and said 559, “What 4100 is your servant 5650, that you should regard 6437 a dead 4191 dog 3611 like 3644 me?”

 9:9 ¶ Then the king 4428 called 7121 Saul’s 7586 servant 5288 Ziba 6717 and said 559 to him, “All 3605 that belonged 1961 to Saul 7586 and to all 3605 his house 1004 I have given 5414 to your master’s 113 grandson 1121.

 9:10 “You and your sons 1121 and your servants 5650 shall cultivate 5647 the land 127 for him, and you shall bring 935 in [the produce] so that your master’s 113 grandson 1121 may have 1961 food 3899; nevertheless Mephibosheth 4648 your master’s 113 grandson 1121 shall eat 398 at my table 7979 regularly 8548.” Now Ziba 6717 had fifteen 2568 6240 sons 1121 and twenty 6242 servants 5650.

 9:11 Then Ziba 6717 said 559 to the king 4428, “According to all 3605 that my lord 113 the king 4428 commands 6680 his servant 5650 so 3651 your servant 5650 will do 6213a.” So Mephibosheth 4648 ate 398 at David’s table 7979 as one 259 of the king’s 4428 sons 1121.

 9:12 Mephibosheth 4648 had a young 6996a son 1121 whose name 8034 was Mica 4316. And all 3605 who lived 4186 in the house 1004 of Ziba 6717 were servants 5650 to Mephibosheth 4648.

 9:13 So Mephibosheth 4648 lived 3427 in Jerusalem 3389, for he ate 398 at the king’s 4428 table 7979 regularly 8548. Now he was lame 6455 in both 8147 feet 7272.
