2 Samuel 23

1 David, in his last words, professeth his faith in God's promises to be beyond sense or experience. 6 The different state of the wicked. 8 A catalogue of David's mighty men.

 23:1 Now these 428 are the last 314 words 1697 of David 1732. David 1732 the son 1121 of Jesse 3448 declares 5002, The man 1397 who was raised 6965 on high 5920 declares 5002, The anointed 4899 of the God 430 of Jacob 3290, And the sweet 5273b psalmist 2158 of Israel 3478,

 23:2 “The Spirit 7307 of the LORD 3068 spoke 1696 by me, And His word 4405 was on my tongue 3956.

 23:3 “The God 430 of Israel 3478 said 559, The Rock 6697 of Israel 3478 spoke 1696 to me, ‘He who rules 4910 over men 120 righteously 6662, Who rules 4910 in the fear 3374 of God 430,

 23:4 Is as the light 216 of the morning 1242 [when] the sun 8121 rises 2224, A morning 1242 without 3808 clouds 5645, [When] the tender 1877 grass 1877 [springs] out of the earth 776, Through 4480 sunshine 5051 after 4480 rain 4306.’

 23:5 “Truly 3588 is not my house 1004 so 3651 with God 410? For He has made 7760 an everlasting 5769 covenant 1285 with me, Ordered 6186a in all 3605 things 3605, and secured 8104; For all 3605 my salvation 3468 and all 3605 [my] desire 2656, Will He not indeed 3588 make [it] grow 6779?

 23:6 “But the worthless 1100, every 3605 one 3605 of them will be thrust 5074 away 5074 like thorns 6975, Because 3588 they cannot 3808 be taken 3947 in hand 3027;

 23:7 But the man 376 who touches 5060 them Must be armed 4390 with iron 1270 and the shaft 6086 of a spear 2595, And they will be completely 8313 burned 8313 with fire 784 in [their] place 7675.”
