[shall be] the restº
thereof: whenº
the eyesº
of man,º
as of allº
the tribesº
of
Yi$rä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל,º
[shall be] toward
Yähwè
יָהוֶה.º |

9:1 ¶
The burden of the word of Yahweh in the land of Chadrakh, and Dammaseq [shall be] the rest thereof: when the eyes of man, as of all the tribes of Yisrael, [shall be] toward Yahweh. |

And

alsoº
shall borderºº
thereby;
Xôr
צוֹר,º
and
Xîðôn
צִידוֹן,º
thoughº
it be veryº
wise.ºº |

And Chamath also shall border thereby; Tzor, and Tzidon, though it be very wise. |

9:3
And
Xôr
צוֹרº
did buildºº
herself a strong hold,º
and heaped upºº
silverº
as the dust,º
and fine goldº
as the mireº
of the streets.º |

9:3
And Tzor did build herself a strong hold, and heaped up silver as the dust, and fine gold as the mire of the streets. |

9:4
Behold,º
Yähwè
יָהוֶהº
will cast her out,ºº
and he will smiteºº
her powerº
in the sea;º
and sheº
shall be devouredºº
with fire.º |

Behold, Yahweh will cast her out, and he will smite her power in the sea; and she shall be devoured with fire. |

9:5
´Aškælôn
אַשׁקְלוֹןº
shall seeºº
[it], and fear;ºº
`Azzà
עַזָּהº
also [shall see it], and be veryº
sorrowful,ººº
and
`Ekrôn
עֶקרוֹן;º
forº
her expectationº
shall be ashamed;ººº
and the kingº
shall perishºº
from
`Azzà
עַזָּה,ºº
and
´Aškælôn
אַשׁקְלוֹןº
shall notº
be inhabited.ºº |

Ashqelon shall see [it], and fear; Azzah also [shall see it], and be very sorrowful, and Eqron; for her expectation shall be ashamed; and the king shall perish from Azzah, and Ashqelon shall not be inhabited. |

And a bastardº
shall dwellºº
in
´Ašdôð
אַשׁדּוֹד,º
and I will cut offºº
the prideº
of the
Pælištîm
פְּלִשׁתִּים.º |

9:6
And a bastard shall dwell in Ashdod, and I will cut off the pride of the Pelishtim. |

9:7
And I will take awayºº
his bloodº
out of his mouth,ºº
and his abominationsº
from betweenºº
his teeth:º
but he that remaineth,ºº
evenº
he,º
[shall be] for our
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים,º
and he shall beº
as a governorº
in
Yæhûðà
יְהוּדָה,º
and
`Ekrôn
עֶקרוֹןº
as a
Yævûsî
יְבוּסִי.º |

9:7
And I will take away his blood out of his mouth, and his abominations from between his teeth: but he that remaineth, even he, [shall be] for our Elohim, and he shall be as a governor in Yehudah, and Eqron as a Yevusi. |
|
9:8
And I will encampºº
about mine houseº
because of the army,º
because of him that passeth by,ººº
and because of him that returneth:ººº
and noº
oppressorºº
shall passº
throughººº
them any more:º
forº
nowº
have I seenºº
with mine eyes.º |

9:8
And I will encamp about mine house because of the army, because of him that passeth by, and because of him that returneth: and no oppressor shall pass through them any more: for now have I seen with mine eyes. |

9:9 ¶
Rejoiceºº
greatly,º
O daughterº
of
Xiyyôn
צִיּוֹן;º
shout,ºº
O daughterº
of
Yærûšälaim
יְרוּשָׁלִַם:º
behold,º
thy Kingº
comethºº
unto thee: heº
[is] just,º
and having salvation;ºº
lowly,º
and ridingºº
uponº
an ass,º
and uponº
a coltº
the foalº
of an ass.º |

9:9 ¶
Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Tziyyon; shout, O daughter of Yerushalaim: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he [is] just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass. |
|
9:10
And I will cut offºº
the chariotº
from
´Efrayim
אֶפרַיִם,ºº
and the horseº
from
Yærûšälaim
יְרוּשָׁלִַם,ºº
and the battleº
bowº
shall be cut off:ºº
and he shall speakºº
peaceº
unto the heathen:º
and his dominionº
[shall be] from seaºº
[even] toº
sea,º
and from the riverºº
[even] toº
the endsº
of the earth.º |

9:10
And I will cut off the chariot from Efrayim, and the horse from Yerushalaim, and the battle bow shall be cut off: and he shall speak peace unto the heathen: and his dominion [shall be] from sea [even] to sea, and from the river [even] to the ends of the earth. |
|
9:11
As for theeº
also,º
by the bloodº
of thy covenantº
I have sent forthºº
thy prisonersº
out of the pitºº
wherein [is] noº
water.º |

As for thee also, by the blood of thy covenant I have sent forth thy prisoners out of the pit wherein [is] no water. |

9:12 ¶
Turnºº
you to the strong hold,º
ye prisonersº
of hope:º
evenº
to dayº
do I declareºº
[that] I will renderºº
doubleº
unto thee; |

Turn you to the strong hold, ye prisoners of hope: even to day do I declare [that] I will render double unto thee; |

Whenº
I have bentºº
Yæhûðà
יְהוּדָהº
for me, filledºº
the bowº
with
´Efrayim
אֶפרַיִם,º
and raisedº
upºº
thy sons,º
O
Xiyyôn
צִיּוֹן,º
againstº
thy sons,º
O
Yäwän
יָוָן,º
and madeºº
thee as the swordº
of a mighty man.º |

When I have bent Yehudah for me, filled the bow with Efrayim, and raised up thy sons, O Tziyyon, against thy sons, O Yawan, and made thee as the sword of a mighty man. |

And

יָהוֶהº
shall be seenºº
overº
them, and his arrowº
shall go forthºº
as the lightning:º
and
´Áðönäy
אֲדֹנָיº
Yähwè
יָהוֶהº
shall blowºº
the trumpet,º
and shall goºº
with whirlwindsº
of the south.º |

And Yahweh shall be seen over them, and his arrow shall go forth as the lightning: and Adonay Yahweh shall blow the trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south. |

shall defendººº
them; and they shall devour,ºº
and subdueºº
with slingº
stones;ºº
and they shall drink,ºº
[and] make a noiseºº
as throughº
wine;º
and they shall be filledºº
like bowls,º
[and] as the cornersº
of the altar.º |

Yahweh Tzevaoth shall defend them; and they shall devour, and subdue with sling stones; and they shall drink, [and] make a noise as through wine; and they shall be filled like bowls, [and] as the corners of the altar. |

9:16
And

their
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִיםº
shall saveºº
them in thatº
dayº
as the flockº
of his people:º
forº
they [shall be as] the stonesº
of a crown,º
lifted up as an ensignºº
uponº
his land.º |

And Yahweh their Elohim shall save them in that day as the flock of his people: for they [shall be as] the stones of a crown, lifted up as an ensign upon his land. |

9:17
Forº
howº
great [is] his goodness,º
and howº
great [is] his beauty!º
cornº
shall make the young menº
cheerful,ºº
and new wineº
the maids.º |

For how great [is] his goodness, and how great [is] his beauty! corn shall make the young men cheerful, and new wine the maids. |
