Nevertheless I tell you the truth: It is expedient for you that I go away; for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I go, I will send him unto you.

Neverthelessª Iª tellª° youª the¹ truth;ª It is expedientª° for youª thatª Iª go away:ª° forª if²° I¹ go²° not² away,ª°¹ the¹ Comforterª will²° notª comeª° untoª you;ª butª ifª I depart,ª° I will sendª° himª untoª you.ª

But I the truth say to you, That it is needful for you that I go; for if I go not, the Paraclete cometh not to you. But if I go, I will send him to you.

But I tell you the truth, that it is profitable for you that I go away; for, if I go not away, the Comforter will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you.

ἀλλ' ἐγὼ τὴν ἀλήθειαν λέγω ὑμῖν, συμφέρει ὑμῖν ἵνα ἐγὼ ἀπέλθω. ἐὰν γὰρ μὴ ἀπέλθω, ὁ παράκλητος οὐ μὴ ἔλθῃ πρὸς ὑμᾶς: ἐὰν δὲ πορευθῶ, πέμψω αὐτὸν πρὸς ὑμᾶς.

Other I to-the-one to-an-un-secluding-of I-forth unto-ye, it-beareth-together unto-ye so I I-might-have-had-came-off. If-ever therefore lest I-might-have-had-came-off, the-one called-beside not lest it-might-have-had-came toward to-ye; if-ever moreover I-might-have-been-traversed-of I-shall-dispatch to-it toward to-ye.
