For thus saith the Lord Jehovah: When I shall make thee a desolate city, like the cities that are not inhabited; when I shall bring up the deep upon thee, and the great waters shall cover thee;

For¹ thus¹ saithª° the Lordª GOD;ª When I shall makeª° thee a desolateª° city,ª like the citiesª that¹ are not¹ inhabited;ª° when I shall bring upª°¹ the deepª upon¹ thee, and greatª watersª shall coverª° thee;
