Then said I, Ah Lord Jehovah! behold, my soul hath not been polluted; for from my youth up even till now have I not eaten of that which dieth of itself, or is torn of beasts; neither came there abominable flesh into my mouth.

Then saidª° I, Ahª Lordª GOD!ª behold,¹ my soulª hath not¹ been polluted:ª° for from my youthª¹ up even till¹ now¹ have I not¹ eatenª° of that which dieth of itself,ª or is torn in pieces;ª neither¹ cameª° there abominableª fleshª into my mouth.ª

Then saidª° I, Ahª Lordª GOD,ª behold,¹ my souleª hath not¹ bene polluted:ª° for from my youthª¹ vp euen til¹ now,¹ haue I not¹ eatenª° of that which dieth of it selfe,ª or is torne in pieces,ª neither¹ cameª° there abominableª fleshª into my mouth.ª

Then I said, Not so, Lord God of Israel: surely my soul has not been defiled with uncleanness; nor have I eaten, that which died of itself or was torn of beasts from my birth until now; neither has any corrupt flesh entered into my mouth.

Then saidª° I, Ahª ´Áđönäy אֲדֹנָיª Yähwè יָהוֶה!ª behold,¹ my soulª hath not¹ been polluted:ª° for from my youthª¹ up even till¹ now¹ have I not¹ eatenª° of that which dieth of itself,ª or is torn in pieces;ª neither¹ cameª° there abominableª fleshª into my mouth.ª
