A sword is upon the Chaldeans, saith Jehovah, and upon the inhabitants of Babylon, and upon her princes, and upon her wise men.

A swordª [is] upon¹ the Chaldeans,ª saithª° the LORD,ª and upon¹ the inhabitantsª° of Babylon,ª and upon¹ her princes,ª and upon¹ her wiseª [men].

and he will sharpen a sword against the Chaldeans, and against the inhabitants of Babylon, and upon her nobles and upon her wise men;

A swordª [is] upon¹ the Caŝdîm כַּשׂדִּים,ª saithª° Yähwè יָהוֶה,ª and upon¹ the inhabitantsª° of Bävel בָּבֶל,ª and upon¹ her princes,ª and upon¹ her wiseª [men].
