For, lo, I will stir up and cause to come up against Babylon a company of great nations from the north country; and they shall set themselves in array against her; from thence she shall be taken: their arrows shall be as of an expert mighty man; none shall return in vain.

For,¹ lo,¹ I¹ will raiseª° and cause to come upª° against¹ Babylonª an assemblyª of greatª nationsª from the northª country:ª¹ and they shall set themselves in arrayª° against her; from thence¹¹ she shall be taken:ª° their arrowsª [shall be] as of a mightyª expert¹ man;°²°² none¹ shall returnª° in vain.ª

For¹ loe,¹ I¹ will raiseª° and cause to come vpª° against¹ Babylon,ª an assemblyª of greatª nationsª from the Northª countrey,ª¹ and they shall set themselues in arayª° against her, from thence¹¹ shee shalbe taken:ª° their arrowesª [shalbe] as of a mightieª expert¹ man:°²°² none¹ shall returneª° in vaine.ª

For, behold, I stir up against Babylon the gatherings of nations out of the land of the north; and they shall set themselves in array against her: thence shall she be taken, as the dart of an expert warrior shall not return empty.
