And the staves were so long that the ends of the staves were seen from the ark before the oracle; but they were not seen without: and there it is unto this day.

And they drew outª° the stavesª [of the ark], that the endsª of the stavesª were seenª° from¹ the arkª beforeª¹ the oracle;ª but they were not¹ seenª° without.ª And there¹ it is¹ unto¹ this¹ day.ª
