And it came to pass, at the time of the return of the year, at the time when kings go out [to battle], that Joab led forth the army, and wasted the country of the children of Ammon, and came and besieged Rabbah. But David tarried at Jerusalem. And Joab smote Rabbah, and overthrew it.

And it came to pass,¹ that afterª the yearª was expired,ª at the timeª that kingsª go outª° [to battle], Joabª led forthª°¹ the powerª of the army,ª and wastedª°¹ the countryª of the childrenª of Ammon,ª and cameª° and besiegedª°¹ Rabbah.ª But Davidª tarriedª° at Jerusalem.ª And Joabª smoteª°¹ Rabbah,ª and destroyedª° it.

And it came to passe,¹ that afterª the yeereª was expired,ª at the timeª that kingsª goe outª° [to battell], Ioabª led forthª°¹ the powerª of the armie,ª and wastedª°¹ the countreyª of the childrenª of Ammon,ª and cameª° and besiegedª°¹ Rabbahª (but Dauidª tariedª° at Ierusalem,)ª and Ioabª smoteª°¹ Rabbah,ª and destroyedª° it.

And it came to pass at the return of the year, at the [time of the] going forth of kings [to war], that Joab gathered the whole force of the army, and they ravaged the land of the children of Ammon; and he came and besieged Rabbah{gr.Rabba}. But David abode in Jerusalem. And Joab smote Rabbah{gr.Rabba} and destroyed it.

And it came to pass,¹ that afterª the yearª was expired,ª at the timeª that kingsª go outª° [to battle], Yô´äv יוֹאָבª led forthª°¹ the powerª of the army,ª and wastedª°¹ the countryª of the childrenª of `Ammôn עַמּוֹן,ª and cameª° and besiegedª°¹ Rabbà רַבָּה.ª But Däwiđ דָּוִדª tarriedª° at Yærûšälaim יְרוּשָׁלִַם.ª And Yô´äv יוֹאָבª smoteª°¹ Rabbà רַבָּה,ª and destroyedª° it.
