Therefore thus saith Jehovah concerning the king of Assyria, He shall not come unto this city, nor shoot an arrow there, neither shall he come before it with shield, nor cast up a mound against it.

Therefore¹ thus¹ saithª° the LORDª concerning¹ the kingª of Assyria,ª He shall not¹ comeª° into¹ this¹ city,ª nor¹ shootª° an arrowª there,¹ nor¹ come beforeª° it with shield,ª nor¹ castª° a bankª against¹ it.

[Is it] not so? Thus saith the Lord concerning the king of the Assyrians, He shall not enter into this city, and he shall not shoot an arrow there, neither shall a shield come against it, neither shall he heap a mound against it.

Therefore¹ thus¹ saithª° Yähwè יָהוֶהª concerning¹ the kingª of ´Aššûr אַשּׁוּר,ª He shall not¹ comeª° into¹ this¹ city,ª nor¹ shootª° an arrowª there,¹ nor¹ come beforeª° it with shield,ª nor¹ castª° a bankª against¹ it.
