It may be Jehovah thy God will hear all the words of Rabshakeh, whom the king of Assyria his master hath sent to defy the living God, and will rebuke the words which Jehovah thy God hath heard: wherefore lift up thy prayer for the remnant that is left.

It may beª the LORDª thy Godª will hearª°¹ all¹ the wordsª of Rabshakeh,ª whom¹ the kingª of Assyriaª his masterª hath sentª° to reproachª° the livingª God;ª and will reproveª° the wordsª which¹ the LORDª thy Godª hath heard:ª° wherefore lift upª° [thy] prayerª for¹ the remnantª that are left.ª°

It may be,ª the LORDª thy Godª will heareª°¹ all¹ the wordsª of Rabshakehª whome¹ the kingª of Assyriaª his masterª hath sentª° to reprochª° the liuingª God,ª and will reprooueª° the wordesª which¹ the LORDª thy Godª hath heard:ª° wherefore lift vpª° [thy] prayerª for¹ the remnantª that are left.ª°

Peradventure the Lord thy God will hear all the words of Rabshakeh{gr.Rapsakes}, whom the king of Assyria his master has sent to reproach the living God and to revile him with the words which the Lord thy God has heard: and thou shalt offer [thy] prayer for the remnant that is found.

It may beª Yähwè יָהוֶהª thy ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִיםª will hearª°¹ all¹ the wordsª of Rav Šäkì רַב־שָׁקֵה,ª whom¹ the kingª of ´Aššûr אַשּׁוּרª his ´áđôn אֲדוֹןª hath sentª° to reproachª° the livingª ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים;ª and will reproveª° the wordsª which¹ Yähwè יָהוֶהª thy ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִיםª hath heard:ª° wherefore lift upª° [thy] prayerª for¹ the remnantª that are left.ª°
