But Amaziah would not hear. So Jehoash king of Israel went up; and he and Amaziah king of Judah looked one another in the face at Beth-shemesh, which belongeth to Judah.

But Amaziahª would not¹ hear.ª° Therefore Jehoashª kingª of Israelª went up;ª° and he¹ and Amaziahª kingª of Judahª looked²° one another¹ in the faceª at Bethshemesh,ª which¹ [belongeth] to Judah.ª

Nevertheless Amaziah{gr.Amessias} hearkened not: so Joash{gr.Joas} king of Israel went up, and he and Amaziah{gr.Amessias} king of Judah{gr.Juda} looked one another in the face in Bethshemesh{gr.Baethsamys} of Judah{gr.Juda}.

But ´Ámaxyà אֲמַציָהª would not¹ hear.ª° Therefore Yæhô´äš יְהוֹאָשׁª kingª of Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵלª went up;ª° and he¹ and ´Ámaxyà אֲמַציָהª kingª of Yæhûđà יְהוּדָהª looked²° one another¹ in the faceª at Bêŧ Šemeš בֵּית־שֶׁמֶשׁ,ª which¹ [belongeth] to Yæhûđà יְהוּדָה.ª

w'lo-shäma ámatz'yähû waYaal y'hôäsh melekh'-yis'räël waYit'räû fäniym hû waámatz'yähû melekh'-y'hûdäh B'vëyt shemesh ásher liyhûdäh
