but the children of the murderers he put not to death; according to that which is written in the book of the law of Moses, as Jehovah commanded, saying, The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, nor the children be put to death for the fathers; but every man shall die for his own sin.

But the childrenº of the murderersºº he slewºº not:º according unto that which is writtenºº in the bookº of the lawº of Moses,º whereinº the LORDº commanded,ºº saying,ºº The fathersº shall notº be put to deathºº forº the children,º norº the childrenº be put to deathºº forº the fathers;º butºº every manº shall be put to deathºº for his own sin.º
