And it was so, when Elisha the man of God heard that the king of Israel had rent his clothes, that he sent to the king, saying, Wherefore hast thou rent thy clothes? let him come now to me, and he shall know that there is a prophet in Israel.

And it was¹ [so], when Elishaª the manª of Godª had heardª° that¹ the kingª of Israelª had rentª°¹ his clothes,ª that he sentª° to¹ the king,ª saying,ª° Wherefore¹ hast thou rentª° thy clothes?ª let him comeª° now¹ to¹ me, and he shall knowª° that¹ there isª a prophetª in Israel.ª

And it came to pass, when Elisha{gr.Elisaie} heard that the king of Israel had rent his garments, that he sent to the king of Israel, saying, Wherefore hast thou rent thy garments? Let Naaman{gr.Naiman}, I pray thee, come to me, and let him know that there is a prophet in Israel.
