And it came to pass, when the king of Israel had read the letter, that he rent his clothes, and said, Am I God, to kill and to make alive, that this man doth send unto me to recover a man of his leprosy? but consider, I pray you, and see how he seeketh a quarrel against me.

And it came to pass,¹ when the kingª of Israelª had readª°¹ the letter,ª that he rentª° his clothes,ª and said,ª° [Am] I¹ God,ª to killª° and to make alive,ª° that¹ this¹ man² doth sendª° unto¹ me to recoverª° a manª of his leprosy?ª¹ whereforeª¹ consider,ª° I pray you,¹ and seeª° how¹ he¹ seeketh a quarrelª° against me.
