And a man of God came near and spake unto the king of Israel, and said, Thus saith Jehovah, Because the Syrians have said, Jehovah is a god of the hills, but he is not a god of the valleys; therefore will I deliver all this great multitude into thy hand, and ye shall know that I am Jehovah.

And there cameª° a manª of God,ª and spakeª° unto¹ the kingª of Israel,ª and said,ª° Thus¹ saithª° the LORD,ª Because¹¹ the Syriansª have said,ª° The LORDª [is] Godª of the hills,ª but he¹ [is] not¹ Godª of the valleys,ª therefore will I deliverª°¹ all¹ this¹ greatª multitudeª into thine hand,ª and ye shall knowª° that¹ I¹ [am] the LORD.ª

And there cameª° a manª of God,ª and spakeª° vnto¹ the kingª of Israel,ª and sayd,ª° Thus¹ saythª° the LORD,ª Because¹¹ the Syriansª haue sayde,ª° The LORDª [is] Godª of the hilles,ª but hee¹ [is] not¹ Godª of the valleys:ª therefore will I deliuerª°¹ all¹ this¹ greatª multitudeª into thine hand,ª [and] yee shall knowª° that¹ I¹ am the LORD.ª

And there came the man of God, and said to the king of Israel, Thus saith the Lord, Because Syria has said, The Lord God of Israel [is] a God of the hills, and he [is] not a God of the valleys, therefore will I give this great army into thy hand, and thou shalt know that I [am] the Lord.

And there cameª° a manª of ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים,ª and spakeª° unto¹ the kingª of Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל,ª and said,ª° Thus¹ saithª° Yähwè יָהוֶה,ª Because¹¹ the ´Árammîm אֲרַמִּיםª have said,ª° Yähwè יָהוֶהª [is] ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִיםª of the hills,ª but he¹ [is] not¹ ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִיםª of the valleys,ª therefore will I deliverª°¹ all¹ this¹ greatª multitudeª into thine hand,ª and ye shall knowª° that¹ I¹ [am] Yähwè יָהוֶה.ª
