Wherefore he said unto the messengers of Ben-hadad, Tell my lord the king, All that thou didst send for to thy servant at the first I will do; but this thing I may not do. And the messengers departed, and brought him word again.

Wherefore he saidª° unto the messengersª of Benhadad,ª Tellª° my lordª the king,ª All¹ that¹ thou didst sendª° for to¹ thy servantª at the firstª I will do:ª° but this¹ thingª I mayª° not¹ do.ª° And the messengersª departed,²°¹ and broughtª° him wordª again.²°

Wherefore hee saidª° vnto the messengersª of Benhadad,ª Tellª° my lordª the king,ª All¹ that¹ thou diddest sendª° for to¹ thy seruantª at the first,ª I will doe:ª° but this¹ thingª I mayª° not¹ doe.ª° And the messengersª departed,²°¹ and broughtª° him wordª againe.²°

And he said to the messengers of the son of Hadad{gr.Ader}, Say to your master, All things that thou hast sent to thy servant about at first I will do; but this thing I shall not be able to do. And the men departed, and carried back the answer to him.
