And the king said unto Araunah, Nay; but I will verily buy it of thee at a price. Neither will I offer burnt-offerings unto Jehovah my God which cost me nothing. So David bought the threshing-floor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.

And the kingª saidª° unto¹ Araunah,ª Nay;¹ but¹ I will surely²° buyª° [it] of¹¹ thee at a price:ª neither¹ will I offerª° burnt offeringsª unto the LORDª my Godª of that which¹ doth cost me nothing.ª So Davidª boughtª°¹ the threshingfloorª and the oxenª for fiftyª shekelsª of silver.ª

And the king said to Araunah{gr.Orna}, Nay, but I will surely buy it of thee at a fair price, and I will not offer to the Lord my God a whole-burnt-offering for nothing. So David purchased the threshing-floor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.
