So Gad came to David, and told him, and said unto him, Shall seven years of famine come unto thee in thy land? or wilt thou flee three months before thy foes while they pursue thee? or shall there be three days' pestilence in thy land? now advise thee, and consider what answer I shall return to him that sent me.

So Gadª cameª° to¹ David,ª and toldª° him, and saidª° unto him, Shall sevenª yearsª of famineª comeª° unto thee in thy land?ª or¹ wilt thou fleeª° threeª monthsª beforeª thine enemies,ª while they¹ pursueª° thee? or¹ that there be¹ threeª days'ª pestilenceª in thy land?ª now¹ advise,ª° and seeª° what¹ answerª I shall returnª° to him that sentª° me.

Now then decide, and see what answer I shall return to him that sent me.
