And Joab said unto the king, Now Jehovah thy God add unto the people, how many soever they may be, a hundredfold; and may the eyes of my lord the king see it: but why doth my lord the king delight in this thing?

And Joabª saidª° unto¹ the king,ª Now the LORDª thy Godª addª° unto¹ the people,ª how many soever² they be,ª an hundredfold,ªª and that the eyesª of my lordª the kingª may seeª° [it]: but why¹ doth my lordª the kingª delightª° in this¹ thing?ª

And Ioabª saydeª° vnto¹ the King,ª Now the LORDª thy Godª addeª° vnto¹ the peopleª (how many soeuer² they be)ª an hundred folde,ªª and that the eyesª of my lordeª the kingª may seeª° it: but why¹ doeth my lordª the kingª delightª° in this¹ thing?ª

And Joab said to the king, Now may the Lord add to the people a hundred-fold as many as they are, and [may] the eyes of my lord the king see it: but why does my lord the king desire this thing?

And Yô´äv יוֹאָבª saidª° unto¹ the king,ª Now Yähwè יָהוֶהª thy ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִיםª addª° unto¹ the people,ª how many soever² they be,ª an hundredfold,ªª and that the eyesª of my ´áđôn אֲדוֹןª the kingª may seeª° [it]: but why¹ doth my ´áđôn אֲדוֹןª the kingª delightª° in this¹ thing?ª
