And there was a famine in the days of David three years, year after year; and David sought the face of Jehovah. And Jehovah said, It is for Saul, and for his bloody house, because he put to death the Gibeonites.

Then there was¹ a famineª in the daysª of Davidª threeª years,ª yearª afterª year;ª and Davidª enquiredª°¹ of² the LORD.ª And the LORDª answered,ª° [It is] for¹ Saul,ª and for¹ [his] bloodyª house,ª because¹¹ he slewª°¹ the Gibeonites.ª

Then there was¹ a famineª in the dayesª of Dauidª threeª yeeres,ª yeereª afterª yeere,ª and Dauidª enquiredª°¹ of² the LORD.ª And the LORDª answered,ª° [It is] for¹ Saul,ª and for¹ [his] bloodieª house,ª because¹¹ he slewª°¹ the Gibeonites.ª

And there was a famine in the days of David three years, year after year; and David sought the face of the Lord. And the Lord said, [There is] guilt upon Saul and his house because of his bloody murder, whereby he slew the Gibeonites{gr.Gabaonites}.

Then there was¹ a famineª in the daysª of Däwiđ דָּוִדª threeª years,ª yearª afterª year;ª and Däwiđ דָּוִדª enquiredª°¹ of² Yähwè יָהוֶה.ª And Yähwè יָהוֶהª answered,ª° [It is] for¹ Šä´ûl שָׁאוּל,ª and for¹ [his] bloodyª house,ª because¹¹ he slewª°¹ the Giv`önîm גִּבעֹנִים.ª
