And all the men of Judah answered the men of Israel, Because the king is near of kin to us: wherefore then are ye angry for this matter? have we eaten at all at the king's cost? or hath he given us any gift?

And all¹ the menª of Iudahª answeredª°¹ the menª of Israel,ª Because¹ the kingª is neere of kinneª to¹ vs: wherefore¹¹ then be ye angrieª° for¹ this¹ matter?ª Haue we eaten²° at allª° of¹ the kingsª cost? or¹ hath he giuen²° vs any gift?ª¹

And all the men of Judah{gr.Juda} answered the men of Israel, and said, Because the king is near of kin to us: and why were you thus angry concerning this matter? have we indeed eaten of the king's food? or has he given us a gift, or has he sent us a portion?

And all¹ the menª of Yæhûđà יְהוּדָהª answeredª°¹ the menª of Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל,ª Because¹ the kingª [is] near of kinª to¹ us: wherefore¹¹ then be ye angryª° for¹ this¹ matter?ª have we eaten²° at allª° of¹ the king'sª [cost]? or¹ hath he given²° us any gift?ª¹
