Then said Joab, I may not tarry thus with thee. And he took three darts in his hand, and thrust them through the heart of Absalom, while he was yet alive in the midst of the oak.

Then saidª° Joab,ª I may not¹ tarryª° thus¹ with¹ thee.² And he tookª° threeª dartsª in his hand,ª and thrustª° them through the heartª of Absalom,ª while¹ he [was] yet aliveª in the midst¹ of the oak.ª

Then saidª° Ioab,ª I may not¹ taryª° thus¹ with¹ thee.² And hee tookeª° threeª dartsª in his hand,ª and thrustª° them thorow the heartª of Absalom,ª while¹ hee was yet aliueª in the midst¹ of the Oke.ª

And Joab said, I will begin this; I will not thus remain with thee. And Joab took three darts in his hand, and thrust them into the heart of Absalom{gr.Abessalom}, while he was yet alive in the heart of the oak.

Then saidª° Yô´äv יוֹאָב,ª I may not¹ tarryª° thus¹ with¹ thee.² And he tookª° threeª dartsª in his hand,ª and thrustª° them through the heartª of ´Avšälôm אַבשָׁלוֹם,ª while¹ he [was] yet aliveª in the midst¹ of the oak.ª
