And it came to pass, at the return of the year, at the time when kings go out [to battle], that David sent Joab, and his servants with him, and all Israel; and they destroyed the children of Ammon, and besieged Rabbah. But David tarried at Jerusalem.

And it came to pass,¹ after the yearª was expired,ª at the timeª when kingsª°² go forthª° [to battle], that Davidª sentª°¹ Joab,ª and his servantsª with¹ him, and all¹ Israel;ª and they destroyedª°¹ the childrenª of Ammon,ª and besiegedª°¹ Rabbah.ª But Davidª tarried¹ still²° at Jerusalem.ª

And it came to passe,¹ that after the yeereª was expired,ª at the timeª when kingsª°² goe foorthª° [to battell], that Dauidª sentª°¹ Ioabª and his seruantsª with¹ him, and all¹ Israel;ª and they destroyedª°¹ the childrenª of Ammon,ª and besiegedª°¹ Rabbah:ª but Dauidª taried¹ still²° at Ierusalem.ª

And it came to pass when the time o the year for kings going out [to battle] had come round, that David sent Joab, and his servants with him, and all Israel; and they destroyed the children of Ammon, and besieged Rabbah{gr.Rabbath}: but David remained at Jerusalem.

And it came to pass,¹ after the yearª was expired,ª at the timeª when kingsª°² go forthª° [to battle], that Däwiđ דָּוִדª sentª°¹ Yô´äv יוֹאָב,ª and his servantsª with¹ him, and all¹ Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל;ª and they destroyedª°¹ the childrenª of `Ammôn עַמּוֹן,ª and besiegedª°¹ Rabbà רַבָּה.ª But Däwiđ דָּוִדª tarried¹ still²° at Yærûšälaim יְרוּשָׁלִַם.ª
