And he smote Moab, and measured them with the line, making them to lie down on the ground; and he measured two lines to put to death, and one full line to keep alive. And the Moabites became servants to David, and brought tribute.

And he smoteª°¹ Moab,ª and measuredª° them with a line,ª casting them downª°¹ to the ground;ª even with twoª linesª measuredª° he to put to death,ª° and with one fullª lineª to keep alive.ª° And [so] the Moabitesª became¹ David'sª servants,ª [and] broughtª° gifts.ª
