And the king and his men went to Jerusalem against the Jebusites, the inhabitants of the land, who spake unto David, saying, Except thou take away the blind and the lame, thou shalt not come in hither; thinking, David cannot come in hither.

And the kingª and his men²¹ went²°¹ to Jerusalemª unto¹ the Jebusites,ª the inhabitantsª° of the land:ª which spakeª° unto David,ª saying,ª° Except¹¹ thou take awayª° the blindª and the lame,ª thou shalt not¹ come inª° hither:¹ thinking,ª° Davidª cannot¹ come inª° hither.¹

And David and his men, departed to Jerusalem, to the Jebusite that inhabited the land: and it was said to David, Thou shalt not come in hither: for the blind and the lame withstood him, saying, David shall not come in hither.

And the kingª and his men²¹ went²°¹ to Yærûšälaim יְרוּשָׁלִַםª unto¹ the Yævûsîm יְבוּסִים,ª the inhabitantsª° of the land:ª which spakeª° unto Däwiđ דָּוִד,ª saying,ª° Except¹¹ thou take awayª° the blindª and the lame,ª thou shalt not¹ come inª° hither:¹ thinking,ª° Däwiđ דָּוִדª cannot¹ come inª° hither.¹
