And they brought the head of Ishbosheth{gr.Jebosthe} to David to Hebron{gr.Chebron}, and they said to the king, Behold the head of Ishbosheth{gr.Jebosthe} the son of Saul thy enemy, who sought thy life; and the Lord has executed for my lord the king vengeance on his enemies, as [it is] this day: even on Saul thy enemy, and on his seed.

And they broughtª°¹ the headª of ´Îš Böšeŧ אִישׁ־בֹּשֶׁתª unto¹ Däwiđ דָּוִדª to Çevrôn חֶברוֹן,ª and saidª° to¹ the king,ª Behold¹ the headª of ´Îš Böšeŧ אִישׁ־בֹּשֶׁתª the sonª of Šä´ûl שָׁאוּלª thine enemy,ª° which¹ soughtª°¹ thy life;ª and Yähwè יָהוֶהª hath²° avengedª¹ my ´áđôn אֲדוֹןª the kingª this¹ dayª of Šä´ûl שָׁאוּל,ª¹ and of his seed.ª¹
