And they came thither into the midst of the house, as though they would have fetched wheat; and they smote him in the body: and Rechab and Baanah his brother escaped.

And they came¹ thither²°¹ into¹ the midstª of the house,ª [as though] they would have fetchedª° wheat;ª and they smoteª° him under¹ the fifthª [rib]: and Rechabª and Baanahª his brotherª escaped.ª°

And, behold, the porter of the house winnowed wheat, and he slumbered and slept: and the brothers Rechab and Baanah{gr.Baana} went privily into the house:

And they came¹ thither²°¹ into¹ the midstª of the house,ª [as though] they would have fetchedª° wheat;ª and they smoteª° him under¹ the fifthª [rib]: and Rëȼäv רֵכָבª and Ba`ánà בַּעֲנָהª his brotherª escaped.ª°
